Gray is saibara's grandson who just moved on to mineral town (he originallycame from the big city). He hates his grandpa at first, but as the gameproceed (raise the heart level) he will respect his grandpa more. He'skinda arough guy, even to a girl like you (see the black heart event for furtherdetails), he also antisocial, that's why he doesn't have many friends. Healsodislike people who always moved on (like kai?) but strangely, he build agoodfriendship with kai!! Looks like he's the only one guy who likes kai.Actuallygray is my favourite bachelor in the game (he's cute! even with thatattitude). he spends most of his time for working in the blacksmith and in

thelibrary (to read the book and to meet your rival!!!).

When you walk into the blacksmith, you will see Gray and Saibara arearguingabout something. Seems like Gray mad at Saibara because he thinks Saibaranever approves one of his work, and he said he ready to quit. Gray thennoticeyou and start yelling at you to leave if you have no business there.HearingGray yell at you like that, Saibara then admonished Gray. Gray thenrealizeshis mistakes and apologize to you, but after that he start blaming Saibara(again?). Now you have 2 options to say to Gray:

1. It's called TRAINING2. Just quit!

choose the first option if you want to raise Gray's heart level. Looks likesomething click in his head and somehow he is agree with you."sorry for complaining so much..."

If you pick the second option, he will pissed at you and saying that youdon'tsound sincere."Sorry, but can you leave me alone now?"

** Ok, here's a little hint for you: if you don't want gray to spend histimein the library, soon after you experience the black heart event DON'T goinside the blacksmith again!!, because if you did that you will trigger thefirst rival heart event between Gray and Mary (and after that Gray willstart

visiting the library after work). So keep doing this until gray reach the

purple heart (give him present when he's at the inn only). After he reachthepurple heart level, it's safe for you to come to the blacksmith againbecauseyou won't trigger the first rival heart event, which means that Gray willnever visit the Library ever! mwahaha!!! and mary is no longer a threat for

you.

==Purple Heart Event==Requirement : Already trigger the Black Heart EventDay : Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, SundayTime : 5 p.m - 8 p.m.Place : Doug's Inn (second floor)

Enter the Inn and continue to the second floor, and you will walk towardsGrayautomaticly. He will apologize for his behavior before (check the black

heartevent). He says that he's not good around other people but he feelcomfortabletalking to you. He then ask you whether you mine ores/gems or not and hetellsyou that that kinda thing is part of his job. After that he will say thatheis great for nothing blacksmith with a gloomy face, and again you have 2options:

1. Of course2. You're great!

Choose the second option to raise his heart level. He's so happy to hearyourreply (he sing?), he try to be a good guy (because he's happy okay?) andpromiseto make you something."I'm not. I have a long way to go before i can surpass my grandfather"

If you choose the second option, he will feel a little bit disappointedbecause he think he's just plain ordinary guy (not special ones)."...Yeah, i know. Everyone does..."

1. You will notice that some events will dissapear, and of course there'ssome new events as the substitute.2. You will have a mirror, when you have upgraded your house you can buy iton TV netwotk. With the mirror, you can change your clothes. When isay 'change your clothes', don't dreaming that you can change thatfarmer outfit with a skirt or jeans, nope you can't do that. Theoutfitis still the same, only the color will change. Disappointed?well,me too at first.3. Now, you can marry Won, Kappa and the Gourmet. Of course you still canmarry the other five bachelor in the town, no need to worry.b4. In order to marry the bachelor, you have to experience some heartevents (black, purple, blue and yellow). In the blue heart event,thebachelor will give you a special items (i think you need to have thisoneif you wanna marry that bachelor). BUT unlike in FoMT, you canexperienceall the heart events in the higher level. So don't worry if you haven'ttrigger some heart events when the bachelor reaches orange or red heart,you will get it eventually (need some special requirement, such astheweather, season, and time).5. There's also Rival's heart events. You will need to see all the eventsifyou wanna see your rival marry one of the five bachelor. So it's notnecessary to trigger the events (they will take your boyfriend fromyou! aarrgh!!), unless you have married with a bachelor. By theway,

He live at the inn, andhespend most of his time at church. At fall 14, Duke will come to your housetooffer you a job at the winery, if you tell cliff about this job then hewillwork at the winery for the rest of his life (not going to church again?).Butif you don't tell him about the job, he will leave the town at the secondyear. Oh yeah, do you know that Manna actually hoping that Cliff will marryAja someday =D, but unfortunately Aja never come back to the town.

Cliff sayshe'll do the cleaning alone and you don't have to help him if you don'twantto. You have 2 options for this situation:

Duke wanna ask you something but manna try tostophim. Anyway he'll spit the the questions about Cliff bad point. You have 2option:

Pick the first answer to make Duke and manna glad. They happy because youunderstand cliff very well and it's important to know both of our partner'sgood and bad points. After they say that, cliff will walk in. Duke say thatyou invite cliff for a dinner at the inn (but you never say it!!). Unabletorefuse, both of you will have a dinner together. Lillia allow kaitobring popuri on one condition: Kai must make popuri happy always, whichmeanshe has to marry her. See? it's not kai who propose popuri, but it's lilliawhopropose kai for popuri.

**NOTE: One week (7 days) after the orange heart event, your rival willmarrythe bachelor at the church. You wanna get invited? then fulfill therequirement below:@ Be a good friend of her@ Don't overwork yourself the day before the wedding (you'll wake up late)@ Must be on your farm house (not on your cottage or cabin)So you can't do anything that day but to party until you drunk.

Hello! I'm Arashinonatsu and this is my second guide for HarvestMoon.

I've compiled as much information as I could to endeavor to make the bestin-depth relationship guide for Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral Town(FoMT)and Harvest Moon: More Friends of Mineral Town, the alternate "for girls"version of FoMT. More Friends is commonly referred to as MFoMT, an acronymIdespise and find quite awkward. Therefore, I will *always* use the acronymMoFo ('Mo're 'F'riends 'o'f) and shamelessly encourage you to use it aswell.

*NOTE! This guide has information pertaining *only* to these two (2)versions of Harvest Moon for the Game Boy Advance. I cannot

helpwith any other game.

This guide includes information on how to befriend and/or woo not justtheten main and four special marriageable characters, but also how to befriendthelocal townspeople. Eventually, I hope to include the Harvest Sprites andyourfarm animals as well. Though the guide is clearly unfinished, it stillcontains a lot of information for both the new and advanced player.

Later in the guide, you will notice that every character has anastrological sign. This is NOT an official stat. It is only my personalhumble opinion.

Because this guide is so large, if you need something specific, youshouldmake use of the Ctrl+F "Find" feature in most browsers and text editingprograms. Pressing 'Ctrl+F' should bring up the search bar to type in thesection or character you are looking for. ^_^

========================II. "THE SWEETEST DAYS"

Years in harvest Moon are comprised of four seasons: Spring, Summer,

Autumn (Fall), and Winter. Each season consists of 30 days. It'simportant tokeep track of dates; many crops, events, and even characters areseason-specific. There is an uneditable calendar where festival days arecircled located on the wall of your home. Birthdays and anniversaries youwill

have to keep track of on your own.

All the characters in the game have a birthday, but each of themarriagecandidates have an alternate birthday. If you choose your birthday at thestart of the game and the date you chose falls on a bachelorette/bachelor'sregular birthday, their birthday will instead be on the alternate day. Forexample, if you choose Summer 03 for your character's birthday, the gamewillautomatically change Popuri's birthday to her alternate day of Summer 10.

Often the day before a festival, or certain events, someone will cometo

your house first thing in the morning to remind you. Be careful. If youoversleep, teleport out, sleep until the next day, or hang out in thebathroomfor too long, you may miss an important house call.

The first thing to do is to familiarize yourself with where everythingisand when they open. There are two ways to bring up a view of the Town Map.One is to press 'Start', which brings up the menu at the bottom of thescreen,then move the cursor to the map icon and press 'A'. The other method is to

press the 'Left Shoulder Button' and 'Start' at the same time. That willbringup the map automatically. The map will have locations for and brieflyexplaineach major area, and show the hours of many businesses.

There are many benefits to making friends in Mineral Town. You don'thaveto be friends with everyone, you don't even have to be friends with*anyone*,but you'll lose out on the major theme and charm of the game if you playtheloner. Every character in the game has a friendship meter that rises or

fallsbased on your actions. They start off very neutral towards you, but thatcaneasily change. You can raise or lower friendship points in a number ofdifferent ways. Friendship levels will increase if you:

-- Attend a festival (only increases for the people who are alsoattending).-- Confess to Carter that no one likes you and you are forgiven.-- Give someone a gift that they like.

Friendship levels will decrease if you:

-- Display Golden Lumber.-- Give someone a gift that they don't like.-- Litter!

I'm going to explain littering because it decreases friendship pointsby anoticeable amount, and many players don't realize that it affectsfriendshippoints at all. When you throw an item onto the ground and the itemdisappears,the game considers this to be littering. Throwing things into the water isalso considered littering. The penalty gets even steeper during festivals.You should know that there is a garbage can in Rose Square where you cansafelytoss your garbage.

However, if you really want to throw something away, and you can't gettoRose Square, just go into your rucksack. Move the pointer to the item thatyouwant to throw away and press 'Start'. It will ask you if you want to throwtheitem away. No penalties! This works for your rucksack, the refrigerator,theshelf, and the Tool box! Also, a neat trick to know is that pressing the'A'and 'B' buttons at the same time will allow you to automatically access

your

rucksack at any time. This will come in handy when you can't access thestartmenu during events and festivals.

There are a number of aspects in the game that change when you becomefriends with people. Characters will change their dialogue. Some may even

give you a recipe to add to your cookbook, or other valuable gifts andopportunities. You may receive letters and cards in the mail, and specialcharacter events can be unlocked. Some people will allow you to visit themearlier, stay later, or even enter a locked room. Friendship can also leadtomarriage.

--------------------III.01. Gift Points--------------------You can give a gift to any character in the game. However, you can't

just

give *anything* to *anyone*. Each of the characters have differentpersonalities, and therefore, different tastes. They don't all like thesamethings. Just because Basil loves Red Grass, doesn't mean his wife Annadoestoo. Giving someone an item that they like will raise their friendshippointsfor you. Giving them something that they dislike will do the opposite.

The townspeople will start out with an affection for you at a neutralsetting of about 49 or 50 friendship points (maximum 255). Marriagecandidateswill start with their affection for you at 0 points (maximum 65,535).Whilethe gift point table is listed below for both, some people may find iteasierto imagine that the Bachelorette/Bachelor points apply to the townspeopleaswell. Please feel free to do so. It may not be as accurate, but it doesworkvery nicely.

You can give someone a gift as is, or you can have it gift-wrapped attheSupermarket for 100G. If the item is something that the recipient willlove,the gift-wrapping will boost the amount of friendship points received by125%.If the item is something that they hate, their points will plummet down bythesame amount. The same holds true for a person's birthday. Giving a

character

a gift that they love on their birthday will give the item's points a boostbyat least 500% (625% gift-wrapped)!

You can give gifts to the same person multiple times per day. Thefirst

time will yield the full amount of points, but every gift after that willbeless effective than the first (becoming only 1/3 of the normal pointvalue). Iwouldn't recommend giving the same person more than five gifts per day,nineat the most.

Sometimes you may actually *want* to lower someone's friendship levelforyou. This can be especially true in regards to triggering Heart Events andRival Heart events explained in the next section. In that case, you willwant

to give that individual character a hated gift for a while. This is thebestway, as it won't affect any other characters' levels.

Remember that raising or lowering someone's friendship levels may takenotime at all, or they may take several weeks of repeated gift-giving. Justkeepyour eyes on the goal and remain vigilant.

---------------------III.02. Heart Levels---------------------Marriage candidates have a visibly beating heart on their chest when

youtalk to them. The heart will grow bigger and change colors as they careforyou more. There are seven Heart Levels, which you can think of like abackwards rainbow. Here they are, from lowest to highest.

Black >> Purple >> Blue >> Green >> Yellow >> Orange >> Red

The point system for the Heart Levels works basically like this:

Black Heart = 0 - 9,999 PointsPurple Heart = 10,000 - 19,999 Points

Blue Heart = 20,000 - 29,999 PointsGreen Heart = 30,000 - 39,999 Points

Yellow Heart = 40,000 - 49,999 PointsOrange Heart = 50,000 - 59,999 Points

Red Heart = 60,000 - 65,535 Points

Obviously you can't see where the exact points are at, but you'll atleastbe able to do a "guess-timate".

Now, some characters have invisible heart levels. These secretmarriagecandidates are the Gourmet, Harvest Goddess, Kappa, and Won. Because they

already have extra requirements and situations making them difficult tomarry,

these characters do not have a rival love.

As the marriage candidates move up in Heart Levels, there are certain"boost" events that you can trigger to make their love points raiseconsiderably. These are called Heart Events and they are triggered at fourspecific levels. These levels are:

Black >> Purple >> Blue >> Yellow

Heart Events are basically a cinema cut-scene that you trigger byenteringa certain area at a certain time. They involve a choice on your part. Thewrong answer will cause your friend's love points to drop by a lot. Therightanswer will cause the love points to raise.

If you raise someone's Heart Level too fast, it's possible that youcanwind up skipping a Heart Event. If the Heart Level becomes too high, it

willprevent you from viewing a lower event. For example, in FoMT, if you getEllito Purple Heart before seeing her Black Heart event, you will not be abletotrigger the Black Heart event at all (or any subsequent events). You willhaveto work to lower her Heart Level back down. You canNOT get married to acharacter without seeing each of that character's four Heart Events.

Take your time! These particular HM games don't actually end, sothere isno real rush to get married immediately. However, it's important to knowthatyou have rivals in love. Each potential spouse (except the secretbachelorette/bachelors) has another person vying for their attention. Therival couples are:

Ann == CliffElli == DoctorKaren == RickMary == Gray

Popuri == Kai

Each of your rivals have four heart events too. You trigger them byentering a certain area at a certain time. These cinemas don't involve anyother interaction on your part. Make sure that you keep track of whicheventsyou've triggered. There is no visible way to tell which heart level yourrival's love is at. These events are also triggered at four specificlevels,but they are slightly different than the ones for your Heart Events. Theselevels are:

Black >> Blue >> Green >> Orange

*NOTE! The Green Rival Event can ONLY be triggered in the second yearor

later. The Orange Rival Event can ONLY be triggered in thefourth

year or later.

The fate of your rivals' relationships rests in your hands. They willnotmarry unless you trigger their Rival Heart events. You will not be able totrigger a rival's heart event if the subject likes you better than yourrival.For example, in FoMT, let's say you wanted to see Karen and Rick's Green

Heartevent. You won't be able to trigger it if she has a Yellow (or higher)heartfor you. You would have to lower her heart back down to Green or below.

Thankfully, this stipulation does not go both ways. You can safelyviewthe Rival Heart events before triggering your own, even if the object ofyouraffections has a Black Heart for you. You can also raise the hearts ofeachbachelorette/bachelor without affecting the other bachelorettes/bachelors.The

only thing is that you must NOT trigger your rival's Orange Heart event.Onceyou trigger a rival's Orange Heart event, the two will marry in seven days.If the wedding will fall on a holiday, it will instead occur on the nextregular day following that holiday. Only trigger that event if you wantthemto get married.

"In the first days of mankind, when people were learning about life inallits complexities and splendour, there was a very shy boy named Kuko. He wasvery much in love with the daughter of the chief of his tribe, but was tooshyto say anything to her. Instead, he would leave a white flower at her dooreachmorning and then walk past her house later to see if his gift had beenaccepted.

The White Flower was a rare and beautiful blossom that could be foundonlyat the top of the highest mountain. Each evening, Kuko would climb themountainto search for the elusive flower and he would not return to his villagewithoutit. To him, it represented the rare emotion that had blossomed in his own

heart. Every day, his heart rose when he saw that the flower no longer layon

the doorstep. He imagined his beloved would understand that her own beautywasreflected in the exquisite loveliness of the White Flower.

Then one day, a delegation of strangers came to the village. Theybrought

an offering of marriage from the son of a neighbouring chieftain. Donkeysladenwith gold, chests filled with precious gems and baskets filled with grains,vegetables and fruit accompanied the proposal of marriage.

Poor Kuko! His heart sank when he saw the ostentatious procession andheard the admiring exclamations of the villagers. All he had to offer wasthesimple White Flower. In fact, as the delegation entered the home of thevillagechieftain, their heavy boots trampled Kuko's offering
