Why Eurofins Digital Testing

HbbTV (Hybrid Broadcast Broadband TV) is a dynamic industry standard which provides an open and business-neutral technology platform for interactive applications, seamlessly combining TV services delivered via broadcast with services delivered via broadband. It also enables access to internet-only services for consumers using connected TVs and set-top boxes. HbbTV is being adopted globally by digital TV platforms with major deployment in Europe, adoption in Asia and Africa and other countries being considered for the new US ATCS 3.0 specification. The specification is governed by the HbbTV Association, comprising of manufacturers, broadcasters, operators and technology companies.

Eurofins Digital Testing has been a member of HbbTV since 2010 and sits on both the HbbTV Steering Group and the HbbTV Testing Group. It was the first registered Test Centre and has in-depth practical experience of HbbTV deployments. We work closely with operators, broadcasters and application developers to ensure successful interoperable HbbTV deployments.

This document highlights the range of topics covered by our comprehensive HbbTV training courses, from deep technical aspects of the standards, application development and signalling requirements, to practical information on the supply chain and available tools. Our courses incorporate case studies and best practice ideas and can be tailored to meet your organisation’s individual requirements. This includes customisation for departmental needs, such as engineering, as well as both implementation and support for broadcast and IT (infrastructure and applications).
