Dear parents and carers

Harris Junior Academy Carshalton

We said we would write to let you know of the decision made in terms of the opening date of HarrisJunior Academy Carshalton. I am pleased to tell you that we continue to work closely with the Councilto achieve opening at the start of the autumn term, as we had hoped. We all agree that this will give thechildren and staff at the school the stability they need and it will mean we can begin to provide thesupport needed to come out of Special Measures. We are grateful to Sutton for helping to make thishappen.

As planned by Camden Junior School, the first day back for your children will be Wednesday 4th

September 2013. The school day will continue to be between 08.55 and 15.20. Fiona Kelly, the InterimPrincipal we have appointed, is very much looking forward to meeting you and welcoming yourchildren back to school.

At the end of this letter, there are further details about how to collect the uniform from the schoolbefore the start of term. As I said last week, if you and your family are going to be on holiday on thesedates please do not worry: just contact my PA, Caroline OMara, and she will work with you to makealternative arrangements. As you know, Sutton have been carrying out a long planned programme of works over the summerholidays. These works are being managed by the Council and we will endeavour to get an update from

them on the progress of the works so we can pass this on to you.

There is a lot to look forward to being planned for the autumn term. If you have any questions, pleasedo not hesitate to get in touch.

The new uniform will be available for collection from the school on the following days:

Tuesday 27th August: 10am - 6.00pm Wednesday 28th August: 8.30am - 6.00pm Thursday 29th August: 8.30am-6.00pm Friday 30th August: 8.30am - 5.30pm Monday 2nd September: 10am - 6.00pm Tuesday 3rd September: 8.30am - 6.00pm

Uniform will be as follows. Items with a star will be provided free of charge to pupils ofCamden Junior School:

White shirt/blouse Navy and gold stripe tie(*) Navy v-neck sweatshirt or cardigan (*) Navy reversible fleece/waterproof jacket (*) Navy PE shorts (*) Grey trousers/skirt White PE t-shirt with academy logo (*) Academy book bag(*) Academy PE bag (*)

If your child is entering the first year of the school (Year 3), or if you would like to purchase

additional items, these will also be available on the dates set out above. The cost is as

follows:
