College Showcase Teams

February saw my first involvement with a trip away for the Boys College Showcase team. The event was a success on and off the field with both the 02’s and 03’s putting in tremendous performances. I truly believe that if the weather did not interrupt our onfield perpetration then both teams would have came away with a winners medal. The behavior as the hotel was never an issue will all players taking leadership roles in order to make sure everyone stayed in line. Looking forward to the next event.

The classroom sessions we held involved conferences calls with College Fit Finder where to players were walked through how best to attract coach coaches to their games and the rules on interaction between coach and player. We have numerous coaches out to watch our group play games.

State Cup Update

25

Tyee Cup is ready to take registration via the Room Roster website. The club has a reciprocal deal with Issaquah Gunners SC for the 2019 summer. ISC will be sending all their teams to the Tyee cup and we have agreed to do the same for their Summer Classic 6/28-30. The dates work really well for both clubs not to mention their have a lot of teams that will give our Green teams a run for their money. Looking forward to watching those games in the summer.

SNOW, SNOW and more SNOW…

It snowed during the month of February which triggered the closing of our fields for both trainings and games over a 2 week period. The other weeks that weren’t affected by closures where played as normal.

The G00-04 teams continued the play of their winter RCL season. There is another month left before state cup.

The G05 and G06 team have been playing their RCL season since September and will be ending the season mid March.

The G06 team did get away to play a tournament in Las Vegas the weekend of the 23-24th. They played well even though they didn’t get to train for the two weeks leading up to the tournament due to field closures. They ended up finishing in 4th place and only ended up giving up one goal in the tournament.
