PELLA SOCCER CLUB – PAST & PRESENT
Pella Soccer Club became incorporated in 2003
Mission statement: Pella Soccer Club is dedicated to providing a positive soccer experience for players of all
ages and skill levels. We welcome the responsibility of educating players in life lessons to assist in
their development both within the game and life off the pitch, through core values, sportsmanship and
community involvement. We will provide all players opportunities to magnify their potential, envision their
dreams and develop a love for the game. Through sound leadership, quality coaching and our own passions of
the game, Pella Soccer Club will work with its members to be the best in the area.

• Founding club (est. 1997), Colorado Rush launched a national partnership program in 2003.
• In 2005, Rush SPI (501c3), the central and independent entity of coordination for Rush was created to « serve it’s partners ».
• In 2009, Ankeny Soccer Club became Iowa Rush (501c3).
• In 2017, Iowa Rush NORTH added and Iowa Rush Organization created.

• The Rush Select program is an international program in which Rush Soccer forms Select teams (All-Star teams) that are comprised of the top Rush players from across all of our domestic and international branches in the 13U-17U age groups.
• The players get to see new ideas, meet new coaches & learn to play the Rush Way.
• These are some of the top players in Rush, both national and international, getting together to compete in tournaments in the U.S. and even abroad
RUSH SELECT
• Rush Fest is a week long festival for 12U players, starting with an opening ceremony attended by over a 1200 players and parents.
• Over the five days the teams play four competitive games (held in the morning), 3 training sessions (in the afternoon), and 3 classroom sessions (also in the afternoon).
• Opportunity for young players to get to meet other players from across the Rush Nation.
• Be surrounded by the Rush Way philosophy; provide players, coaches and parent opportunities to learn about the Rush.
RUSH FEST
• Designed to help guide players 15U and older through the college selection process. (A guidance service primarily about the students intrinsic motivation to play at the college level.)
• Iowa Rush College Combine – Bringing College coaches from around the region to local location to view players in their own environment within games.
• Iowa Rush College Coach Camps – Bringing College Coaches into trainings to run session and work directly with players.
• Over 125 Iowa Rush alum playing in college
COLLEGE ADVISORY PROGRAM
• Rush Equipment Assisting CHildren, is a program dedicated to assisting our international Rush partner clubs by providing much needed Rush uniforms and equipment.
• Rush Soccer asks their members to donate new and used soccer equipment, such as balls, shoes, shin guards and uniforms so they can be distributed throughout the world to needy children.
• Volunteers and donations from companies that assist Rush with the shipping of these items is paramount in the success of this program.
REACH PROGRAM
• Rush SPI Provides an On-line Coaching Education curriculum as a complimentary training tool for the coaches in Rush Soccer.
• The program has many categories that the coach is tested on.
• The first level is Micro Soccer for coaching 5-8 year olds and ends with advancedplayer coaching.
• Coaches will recieve recognition for theirparticipation in the Rush SPI coaching education platforms if participate.
ONLINE COACHING EDUCATION
• Rush Soccer facilitates a guest playing system that connects players from various Rush clubs to other Rush teams around the globe.
• Whether the player is looking to guest play, or a coach needs to fill a spot on a roster, wehave placed hundreds of players through ournetwork successfully.
• Iowa Branch players are welcome to attend training at Central’s location for additionaltraining opportunities.
• Iowa Branch player get opportunities to guestplay with other branches first as needed
PLAYER LOAN/GUEST PROGRAM
• Iowa Rush provides an annual opportunityfor 14U Girls and 17U Boys to attend an international tour each spring
• Games, trainings, professional games, stadium tours and sight seeing are all involved with this life experience.
• Previous trips have included Germany, France, Belgium, Spain, the Netherlandsand England.
• Rosters have Included players from Iowa Rush NORTH, Wisconsin West Rush alongwith players from Central.
IOWA RUSH INTERNATIONAL TOUR
• CAMPS - Year-round player developmentopportunities including camps and leaguesin the winter and summer.
• Iowa Rush EDGE, providing videos and analysis of technical skills for players to train on their own time outside of practice
• Juggle Club – compete against players in your own club, across Iowa and the US through the Rush Juggle Club.
