High-yield promotion for aspiring nations: Partner Country participation in HANNOVER MESSE.
HANNOVER MESSE guarantees its Partner Countries media exposure superior to that offered by any other trade fair in the world.
France, Italy, Korea, Japan, Turkey, India and Russia – all of these nations have in the recent past leveraged their Partner Coun-try status at HANNOVER MESSE to expand their global business networks. They have used the fair to further internationalize their local industrial sectors and access new markets. And, not least, they have profiled their industrial strategies to the world, includ-ing a strong focus on eco-friendly and sustainable production.
HANNOVER MESSE is a global exhibition platform that is unique in its ability to present multiple fields of industrial endeavor in context. This integrative approach generates hundreds of thou-sands of new business leads and yields billions of euros in new orders for participating Partner Country enterprises.
This model also pays major dividends for non-Partner Country enterprises. By exhibiting at HANNOVER MESSE, they are guar-anteed prime access to a large pool of potential customers and suppliers from at least two of the world’s top industrial powers. And so it will be in 2012, when the featured Partner Country will be China, an economy of immense importance to exhibitors and visitors from all nations.
HANNOVER MESSE 2012 will be the place where new partner-ships for a shared, global future are forged. I invite you cordially to come to Hannover and take advantage of this unique opportunity for international dialogue.

HANNOVER MESSE is the world’s foremost industrial technology tradeshow, profiling industrial production and supply chains in their entirety.
With about 228,476 attendees from 90 different countries and an exhibitor line-up totalling 6,500 and representing 65 nations (2011), HANNOVER MESSE is the No. 1 global marketplace for industrial technology. Throughout its history, from its inception in the post-war reconstruction years to the present-day era of global ecological restructuring, HANNOVER MESSE has pursued one paramount objective: to help businesses find the new tech-nologies and strategies they need to navigate the future.
Historically, Germany’s role as a leading industrial and exporting nation has been very closely aligned with HANNOVER MESSE. Since 2005, the following have featured as Partner Country: Russia, India, Turkey, Korea, Japan, and, most recently, Italy and France. And in each case, the showcase was the biggest indus-trial exhibition the Partner Country had ever mounted outside of its own national borders. At HANNOVER MESSE, the path to the future is paved with historic firsts.

Dialogue on industrial policyIndustriepolitik im Dialog
HANNOVER MESSE is where Partner Countries signal their industrial policy direction to an international audience.
Some 2,000 invited guests from the ranks of business, science, government and the media attended the HANNOVER MESSE Open-ing Ceremony in 2011. The addresses delivered by the heads of government, their joint tour of the exhibition venue and their visit to the central Partner Country pavilion – all these things testify to HANNOVER MESSE’s status as a key hub for political dialogue.
HANNOVER MESSE is an opportunity for Partner Countries to communicate their industrial and economic policy direction to the world. Closely themed around sustainability, the Partner Country France showcase in 2011 was a bold and eloquent statement of France’s industrial policy objectives.
“ The exhibitors are ambassadors for greater cooperation.”Dr. Angela Merkel Chancellor of Germany

The 2010 Partner Country, Italy, has a joint European vision for sustainability.
In a showcase organized by the Italian Trade Commission (I.C.E), Italy profiles its systematic contribution to cross-border European industrial policy. The spotlight is on high-tech solutions “Made in Italy,” but also on the entrepreneur-engineers in the country’s small and medium-sized enterprises. In the following year, 2011, Italy increases its exhibitor turnout at HANNOVER MESSE.

HANNOVER MESSE 2012
The People’s Republic of China, the official Partner Country for HANNOVER MESSE 2012, is investing heavily in sustainability.
With China, HANNOVER MESSE has secured another leading eco-nomic power as Partner Country for 2012. As a major importing nation, China is fundamental to growth in the export-oriented in-dustries of the world. Germany alone grew its exports to China by 31 percent last year. As an exporting nation, China is heavily in-vested in green technologies. All of which points to exciting times at HANNOVER MESSE 2012. With China at its side as Partner Country, HANNOVER MESSE will again remain true to its calling as a driver of economic growth. It will, after all, be presenting the Number 1 growth market for many companies in a wide range of industries, including mobility, energy efficiency and environmen-tal technology.
