Dear Parents, Carers, Students and Staff,

It is the last newsletter for the year of 2018.

Firstly, massive thanks must be made to Jenny and

Michelle for braving heat and cold to deliver two-weeks

of intensive swimming to all our students.

This week we are celebrating the educational careers of

our five Year 6 students, as they embark on their

journey through to high school. Well-done, gang. Wave

that Hannam Vale flag high and enjoy the changes that

Camden Haven High School have to offer you.

Today, Mrs Kate Brace joined us for a planning day and

got to meet the staff and students at HVPS.

On Thursday, we welcome our newest student, Jack

Drew, to join us for the morning and see what ‘big

school’ is all about! What a great opportunity to learn the

ins and outs of our great school!

We are also celebrating the year of 2018 at our annual

presentation morning on Wednesday, 10:00am at the

Hannam Vale Community Hall. We are very much

looking forward to seeing everybody there as we give

out awards, tell jokes, sing some carols and enjoy the

success of our students.

Thus, our school year ends. School will resume for all

students on Wednesday, 30 January 2019. Have a safe

and happy summer break! Thank you for the support

and respect that you showed my staff and I throughout

the year. It is not easy, allowing a new person to come

in mid-year.

Presentation Morning Wednesday 12 December 10am

Our Presentation Morning will be held at Hannam

Vale Community Hall commencing at 10am on

Wednesday 12 December.

This will be followed at 12 noon by a farewell for

Mrs Everingham with presentations by students.

All parents and community members are

welcome. A cuppa and light refreshments will be

available. Please bring a savoury or sweet plate

to share.

Our final Garden session will

Annual reports will be send home with your child

on Friday. This is a summation of your child’s

success throughout the year and next steps for

improvement.

Mark has shown great maturity, diplomacy and

collaboration skills while taking part in our

Restaurant project. Well done Mark!

End of Year Reminders

Fees - If you have any outstanding fees could you

please pay these by Tuesday 18 December at the

office.

Library Books - Please check to see if there are

any unreturned library books at home. We need to

account for all books.

Last week our senior students stood up in front of

their peers and school staff to present their

speeches for 2019 School Leaders. They all did a

wonderful job and all would make ideal leaders for

our school.

We all enjoyed helping Elizabeth celebrate her

birthday.

P&C News Uniforms

Just a reminder for anyone wishing to order

uniforms between now and the end of the year, that

there are order forms available at the office. If you

complete this and leave the order (with payment)

at the office, it will be filled and delivered through

your child.

100 Club

Over the next few weeks of term, the P&C have

decided to run what is known as a “100 Club.” This

is so that we can raise a few extra dollars in

fundraising due to many of our events being

rained-out this year. The premise is as follows:

100 numbers will be for sale at the cost of $10.00

each.

When all of the numbers have been sold, the 100

Club will be drawn by a random number generator.

We will have three winning numbers.

1st will receive $400.00

2nd will receive 100.00

3rd will receive $50.00

The manager of the Hannam Vale General Store

has agreed to keep the draw at the store to make

it available to all of our community. Thank you

Karen! The form is there now.

This is a great opportunity to win some extra cash

for Christmas! Thanks in advance for supporting

our fundraising efforts.

P&C Meeting

Our next P&C Meeting will be held on Friday 14

December at 8.30am at school. All Welcome.
