Arts Libris aims to bring together professionals, enthusiasts, producers and collectors. Artists’ books come in all shapes and forms but there are a number of values that link them to one another: the book as a work of art or site for graphic experimentation, the care taken with the editing, choice of paper, binding, and many more. By placing direct contact with the interested public and overall quality above commercial value, a collective is formed occupying the space between art, crafts, design, graphic arts and binding. This sector is one that has a long and rich tradition and a significant influence in Catalonia. The second ARTS LIBRIS Fair, from 14 to 17 April 2011, brings together 79 professional exhibitors from this country and abroad, with a show of work by Art and Design School students, 4 workshops for all ages and abilities, and 2 exhibitions: ME- TAMORPHOSIS by Louise Bourgeois, and Camberwell College of Arts. ARTSLIBRIS2011 Project direction: Rocío SC Santa Cruz and Oscar Guayabero Coordination: Inma Alavedra, Judith Ortega and Pau Torrente Design space and coordination of production: Las Eternas Graphic design: Cla-se Catalogue design: Meri Iannuzzi Organized by: RAÍÑA LUPA PRODUCCIONS With the support of: INSTITUT CATALÀ DE LES INDÚSTRIES CULTURALS (ICIC) In conjunction with: ARTS SANTA MÒNICA Collaborating media: ARA-CAT ARTS LIBRIS 2011 collaborating companies and institutions: FUNDACIÓ COMUNICACIÓ, GRÀFICA, MUSEU MOLI PAPERER DE CAPELLA- DES, ESCOLA LLOTJA, GRÁFICO, GRAFITEX, MAPFRE, CULTURAL SENSE, ALIANCE, VENDING, FORFREE, FORMATIC-BARNA, RAIÑA LUPA GALERÍA EDICONES.
