Tool Control Program Structure

The toolkit is within its final phase and has been developed primarily in a bullet point format to allow helicopter operators to use it as a checklist

It is important to note that the toolkit was written as a “what” to do and not a prescriptive “how” to do

The operator can decide how the maintenance checklist guidelines can be implemented in it's own organization.

Add to a basic SMS program.

Can be implemented for any type operation, from the largest to the smallest.

Second set of eyes process

There is not a “canned program” for aviation operators, you need to develop one that meets the needs / requirements of your operation.

Keep special tools in mind when developing

The toolkit has been developed primarily in a bullet point format to allow helicopter operators to use as a checklist.
