Limited 1 Year Warranty Manufacturers Warranty Hadley Towing Equipment, Inc’ warranty shall be the following which its Distributors shall make on our behalf by conspicuous notice in writing accompanying each contract or memorandum of sale:

1. Hadley Towing Equipment warrants each new product made by it to be free from defects in material or workmanship for a period of one year from the date of initial sales, lease, rental or other disposition of such product and agrees only to repair or replace at its own expense, f.o.b. the place or places of manufacture, at Hadley Towing Equipment, Inc’ option, any part or parts of the product found to be defective in material or workmanship, provided Hadley Towing Equipment Inc. is notified or defect or defects within the one year warranty period and given a reasonable time to correct the defect. In no case, shall the warranty extend to defects in materials, components, or services furnished by third parties. Defects caused by chemical action, or the presence of abrasive materials and defects arising following the operation beyond rated capacity or the improper use or application of any. Products shall not be considered defects within the scope of the foregoing warranty. If any repairs or alterations are made or any parts are replaced during the period covered by any warranty above mentioned by other than an authorized Hadley Towing Equipment, Inc’ Distributor in accordance with authorized Hadley Towing Equipment Inc’ Service manuals or with other tan parts, accessories, or attachments authorized by Hadley Towing Equipment, Inc. for use in its products, customer shall pay for all such repairs or parts without recourse against Hadley Towing Equipment, Inc. and Hadley Towing Equipment, Inc. shall be relieved of responsibility for fulfillment of this warranty with respect to parts or components of all repairs, alterations or replacements so made. No claims for labor shall be considered unless authorized by Hadley Towing Equipment, Inc.

2. Under no circumstances shall Hadley Towing Equipment, Inc. be liable for any consequential or special damage which any person,

firm, corporation, or other entity may suffer or claim to suffer or incur or claim to incur as a result of any defect in the product or in any correction or alteration thereof made or furnished by Hadley Towing Equipment, Inc. or others. “Consequential” or “special damages” as used herein includes but is not limited to costs of transportation, lost sales, lost orders, lost profits, lost income, increased overhead, labor and material costs and cost of manufacturing variances and operational inefficiencies.

3. The maximum liability of Hadley Towing Equipment, Inc. under the exclusive warranty set forth herein shall be the amount paid to manufacturer by the vendor of the component with respect to the product to which such vendor warranty applies.

4. The limitation of liability provisions herein shall apply to any and all claims or suits brought against Hadley Towing Equipment, Inc. including any claim based upon negligence, breach of contract, breach of warranty, strict liability or any other theories upon which liability may be asserted against Hadley Towing Equipment, Inc.

5. The warranty constitutes Hadley Towing Equipment, Inc’. entire warranty as to the product, and it is expressly agreed that the remedies of dealer and those claiming under dealer as stated in this warranty are exclusive. Hadley Towing Equipment, Inc. does not assume (and has not authorized any other person to assume on its behalf) any other warranty or liability in connection with any product covered by this warranty. HADLEY TOWING EQUIPMENT INC. EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ANY AND ALL OTHER WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND WHATSOEVER AS TO THE PRODUCT FURNISHED HEREUNDER INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES AS TO MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR PARTICULAR PURPOSED=S SOLD, DESCRIPTION OR QUALITY OF THE PRODUCT FURNISHED HEREUNDER

6. This warranty shall be void if, upon the occurrence of any incident involving any product made by Hadley Towing Equipment, Inc. and resulting in any personal injury or property damage, customer shall fail to notify Hadley Towing Equipment, Inc. within 24 hours of such occurrence or permit Hadley Towing Equipment, Inc. audit representatives to have immediate access to such product and to all records of and within the control of the customer and/or distributor relating to the product and the occurrence.

7. Upon notifying Hadley Towing Equipment, Inc. of a failure, Hadley Towing Equipment, Inc. or its representative will verbally authorize and confirm by letter the repairs to be made. Verbal authorization will require the following information: A) Owners’ name and telephone number

B) The dealers name from whom it was purchased. C) The unit serial number D) Telephone number of the party making repairs. E) The part numbers needed to make repairs F) Owner to be informed of C.O.D. parts (if deemed necessary to

assure return of defective parts for Hadley Towing Equipment, Inc’ evaluation

At this time, Hadley Towing Equipment, Inc. will ship as soon as practical the parts needed to make the repair. Included with the parts will be the invoice for the parts and a Request for Warranty form, with the Warranty Return Tags. The vehicle owner/dealer will complete the Request for Warranty form and the Warranty Return Tag marked “Return with Shipping Notice.” Both documents should be attached to the shipping notice and returned to Hadley Towing Equipment, Inc. by mail. The parts to be returned shall be tagged with the Warranty Return Tag (more than one part pertaining to the same warranty claim shall be identified with the same warranty claim number – see number on Warranty Return Tag). All parts under this claim shall be returned to Hadley Towing Equipment, Inc. prepaid for warranty evaluation. Upon receiving the part or parts for warranty evaluation, the part will be inspected and tested. After being inspected and tested, the decision to honor or deny warranty claim shall be based the analysis of all available information. When warranty is honored Hadley Towing Equipment, Inc. will reimburse the owner/dealer in the amount agreed to by both parties. If warranty is denied, the owner and distributor will be notified in writing of the decision and a full explanation for the decision will be given.

8. Hadley Towing Equipment, Inc. may at any time amend the foregoing form of warranty without prior notice.

Limited Warranty Hadley Towing Equipment, Inc. and warranty has been designed for longevity. Regardless of the model you own, you’re assured that your equipment will meet your long time expectations and that it is covered under this limited warranty. Our one-year warranty covers material and workmanship including the following: Body or Deck, Substructure, Wheel Lift Assembly, Wrecker Boom Assembly, Winch and winch components (excluding cable), Hydraulics, Electrical wiring assembly. If necessary, Hadley Towing Equipment, Inc. may authorize repair by a qualified equipment service center. Under these arrangements, it will be necessary to obtain an estimate of repairs before any work is performed. Please send the estimate to Warranty Center, H.T.E.I., 11819 Hadley St, Whittier, Ca, 90601, Include your daytime telephone number and contact name. Authorization for repairs under this ltd. Warranty will be provided by telephone within 48 hours of receipt of valid warranty claims and confirmed by e-mail, letter or fax. Hadley Towing Equipment, Inc.’ warranty plan does not provide coverage for damages caused by excessive abuse or consequential damages resulting from the lack of proper service maintenance or need for repairs. All plans begin at original retail purchase date.

Galaxy is not responsible for the results of any unsafe practice performed by unit operators or other individuals.

Galaxy is not responsible for any failure of the towing and recovery unit or its accessories resulting from incorrect maintenance.

IMPORTANT As the unit operator you are obligated to operate your towing and recovery unit safely. You may be held legally responsible for injuries or damages resulting from unsafe practices. 2-1 There are many dangers involved in the towing and recovery of disabled vehicles. The dangers extend to you the operator and all those in proximity to the area of operation as well as all those who share the road with you. As a towing and recovery unit operator you should… 1. Develop an awareness of the dangers involved. 2. Develop a habit of continuously surveying your area of operation. 3. Use every safeguard within reason to prevent injuries. 4. Regularly ask yourself at each step throughout the operation if it is safe to proceed. 5. Carefully check all rigging and cables before proceeding with any lift or pull. This section is to serve as a safety guide and is not inclusive of all the dangers that may arise during the operation of this unit. As the owner/operator of a Galaxy Towing and

Recovery Unit you must remain continuously alert to and aware of all hazards and dangers as they may arise during the operation of your unit.

Section 2 – SAFETY PRECAUTIONS AND PROCEDURES 2-2 Improper use of this equipment can be dangerous and result in injury to the operator and those in proximity to the area of operation. A strong understanding of safe operating practices as well as of all Federal, State, and Local Regulations is needed to operate this equipment. 2-3 A thorough inspection of the equipment and tools to be used is necessary prior to performing any operations. 2-4 Prior to performing any operations you should survey the job to be performed and develop a safe plan of operation. 2-5 Always use safe work practices in compliance with all Federal, State, and Local Regulations.

You should…

1. Read the owners manual for warnings and safety precautions.

2. Never assume anything. Inspect all equipment and tools to be used before begging any job.

3. Inspect your towing unit for any physical damage, such as cracked

or worn parts, cracked welds, cracked or worn hoses, and/or faulty electrical wiring. Pay particular attention to flaking or bubbled paint that may indicate damage under the paint.

4. Look for loose or missing hardware, bolts, nuts, and/or pins. Ensure that all such

components are firmly in place and undamaged.

5. Check for any fluid leaks. Inspect all hydraulic hoses and fittings for cracks or leaks. Ensure proper filters, caps, and plugs are firmly in place and undamaged.

6. Avoid wearing clothing that is loose fitting which could become pinched or

caught in moving parts.

7. Wear all necessary safety items such as safety glasses, gloves, safety shoes, and reflective clothing.

8. Always be aware of the size of the loads being worked with. Never exceed the

working load specification of your equipment. Load Ratings of your Galaxy Towing and Recovery Unit are based on the structural and mechanical design of the wrecker unit only.

9. Only use this unit on solid, level, surface and truck brakes locked.

10. Carefully and smoothly operate controls to avoid damage to wrecker unit and/or injury to individuals present. 11. Never stand or walk beneath boom or a suspended load. 12. Never lift load over ANYONE. 13. Never use boom to lift people. 14. Keep your load in close proximity to the ground whenever possible. 15. Always travel with the boom in stowed position and P.T.O. disengaged.

IMPORTANT Always use safe work practices in compliance with all Federal, State, and

Local Regulations.

2-6 WARNING Only properly trained individuals should be allowed to operate this Towing and Recovery Unit. Any untrained operator risks injury to himself and others. 2-7 CAUTION

Stand clear of equipment while in operation. 2-8 WARNING

Always use safety chains on any towing and lifting procedure. 2-9 DANGER

Hazard from electrocution Serious injury or death can result from contact with the load, cable line, or the vehicle if the boom or cable line should become electrically charged.

2-10 DANGER Hazard from electrocution You should always keep a safe clearance from electrical lines and equipment. You need allow for boom swaying, rocking, or sagging and electrical line and cable line swaying. You need maintain a clearance of at least 10 feet between any part of the wrecker cable line or load and any electrical line or equipment carrying up to 50,000 volts and an additional 1 foot for every additional 30,000 volts or less. Failure to maintain a safe clearance from electrical lines and equipment can result in serious injury or death. Consider all overhead wires to be electrically charged. If uncertain of correct voltage contact your local electrical utility company for information. High voltage electricity is capable of arcing between lines and nearby objects. Serious injury and/or death will result from contact or arcing from wires.

2-11 WARNING Careless and/or improper use of this unit can result in serious injury or death to the operator or others.

Never use the unit for other than its intended purpose. Galaxy disclaims any real or implied warranty and holds itself blameless for any injury or death which may result from that use. No unnecessary personnel or other individuals should be permitted in the area of operation. 2-12 IMPORTANT Galaxy is not responsible for the results of any unsafe practice performed by unit operators or other individuals. Section 3 – MAINTENANCE 3-1 To ensure the life and functionality of your Galaxy Towing Equipment Unit it is necessary to adhere to a strict scheduled comprehensive maintenance program. This section has been provided as a guide to the necessary maintenance, lubrication, and hydraulic system care. 3-2 HYDRAULIC SYSTEM It is important to keep all aspects of the hydraulic system clean and free of all dirt, grit, metal flake, and all other foreign materials. The smallest amount of such materials can cause extensive damage to pumps, motors, and valves. Any servicing of the system should be performed with extreme care.

1. When checking and filling oil reservoir wipe away all dirt, grease, and grit from around filter cap before removing it. Make sure that all containers and utensils to be used are absolutely clean.

2. When replacing hoses, fittings, or other components you should clean them and their area thoroughly before they are dismantled and removed.

3. Filter element should be changed at regular intervals. Failure to do so or to follow all other maintenance precautions could result in the loss of your warranty if certain components fail. 3-3 LUBRICATION & PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE The following lubrication and preventive maintenance should be performed at least once a month and more often for heavy usage.

1. You should inspect for and repair or replace any worn, cracked, leaking, or otherwise damaged components. Areas to inspect including, but not limited to, the following...

a. Hydraulic Filters b. Oil Reservoir c. Controls d. Cables and Fittings e. Hydraulic Hoses and Fittings f. Electrical Wiring and Lights g. Winches h. Cylinders i. Pivot Bearing Surfaces and Pins

1. Check hydraulic oil level in reservoir and fill to appropriate level.

2. Replace hydraulic oil filters after the first week of operation and then every three months.

3. Inspect all bolts for tightness. Vibration and stress may loosen even properly torqued bolts.

4. Lubricate all grease fittings on the unit

5. All bearing surfaces not equipped with grease fittings should be oiled using SAE 30 oil applied to the surfaces.

8. Check and fill oil level of winches. Use SAE 140 all purpose gear oil. 9. Lubricate winch cables with an oily rag while respooling cable onto drum. Penetrating cable lubricant is recommended. NOTE There is no particular way to determine the life expectancy of hydraulic hoses and other rubber components. Therefore, it is recommended that all rubber components, especially hoses, be replaced every (5) years regardless of appearance. 3-10

Main Pivot Pin- use synthetic fortified grease 4. Fold Cylinder Pivots- use synthetic fortified grease 5. Crossbar Pivot- use synthetic fortified grease 6. Boom Extension Tube- use synthetic fortified grease
