The Technology World has ChangedMainframe

Client/ServerToday1960s1980sEnterpriseCloud ComputingNo Hardware/SoftwareSubscription ModelAutomatic UpgradesConstant InnovationWhy are we all here?

Simple. The world of technology has changed, and it has changed FAST. We are living in the middle of a technology revolution that seems to move faster and faster each year and were really all a part of it.

Now heres whats fascinating. Everyone thinks that the technology is the revolution. But thats wrong. Ask yourself why is this happening now?

You need look no further than this simple picture to understand that answer. Its not about the technology. Think of what is behind all of this technology that makes it work.

With mainframes you had to write punch cards to make a computer do something for you in the 60s. This required you not only know how to do this, but to have access to a mainframe which the everyday person didnt have access to.

The advent of client server gave many more people access to technology, yes. But you had to know how to write code to make a useful program.

Now the cloud has completely disrupted our world because not only is the technology accessible, but its also attainable for everyone. You dont have to be a computer scientist to create world class applications.

The Power has Shifted

Everyone can challenge the status quo

No idea is too BIG

Everyone is empowered to bring innovation to life

Its a New Era of Business

And this change in technology, and really the accessibility of technology and caused the power to shift.

Its From big corporations, big teams (those one who previously in the 60s used mainframes) to individuals like you and me. Anyone can have the next BIG idea! And anyone can create it.

The people are the disruptors. And this change has ushered in a completely new era of business.

The power has shifted from the people who speak code to the people who speak business.

Anyone who sees the potential that technology and process change can bring innovation to their organization.

Creating a True Democratization of Technology!!!

This is an amazing time where dreamers can become makers.

You can use the cloud to bring your innovations to life building sophisticated processes on the platform, apps, mobile apps, if you can dream it you can make it. Technology, or access to technology is no longer a barrier.

Thank you.

Our community of Salesforce Admins are making incredible things. And this new era of business & technology is enabling Salesforce Admins to make incredible things if you have a vision, you can bring that vision to life.
