    Interior '.va_ls are ;;>lastered over sawn lathe, ap9lied co furring st=ips; original plaster a~d nailing blocks behind ~= later fini sh indicates a chair rail at sill l·e~gn~ . The oriqinal ~a~tel no longer exis~s and the fire-place has been reduc ed in size . The door is of vertical beaded boards, wi t.li bat'::.e:-:s ati:ached by wood screws, probably eating f r om b~e nineteent~ century .

    A ~estora~ion orogra~ is i:i progress to restore , authentical l y , mi s sing elements , incl uding the wooden floor, bas eboard and chair rail, and illantel surrounding a fi~eplace restored to its original size. Adequate elec::ric service, and elec~ric heat, will be introduced . A la~er phase will restore exterior features, includi~g roofing and cornice work, door and door £rarne, windows and shutcers .

    s-::. George's Parish Church , which the Vestry House was built to accomnany, was constructed in 1759- 1760, and ·vas the third cnurcn to occupy this site. The present ouilding, call~d Spesutia Church, was designed by Niernsee and NeLlson, architects i:i Baltimore, ~nd built i~ 1851 . It is the fouri:h church on the site . Vestry records indicate that it stands on the foundations oz a~d incoroorates b ricks from the t hi r d c hurch, but it is not known whether or no-c t.'le present walls, above ground, incorporate standing sections ot the eighteen th ce:itury walls .

    Designed in the Italian Romanesque style, Spesutia Chu:-c'.:-1 is of fou:::- bays with a chancel at its east e:id o: one bay plus a semi-oc~ago~al a?se. !n -c~e second bay from t~a wes~ e:ld, o~ r:~e sout.1 slde, is a smalL entrance po::-.:::~i. ind at r:!!2 r..ort:rw2st cor:i.e:c is an ex"'::e!:"nal co,.,rer 0£ three storeys, the t.09 one 0eing oc1:agonal with louvres o~ each side; above is a s~or~ concave soire.
