Installation Instructions for

PORSCHE H7 HID Kit for 987 Boxster/Cayman

Before you start please understand that these installation instructions are provided on a “as is”

basis use at your own risk. Maxspeed-Motorsports will not be responsible for any damages or

bodily injuries that can be caused by improper installation of our products. As always

professional installation is recommended. Never go underneath your car if using a floor jack

without securing it with jack stands first.

Tools & Materials Needed

• Factory headlight removal wrench (located in toolkit)

• Philip Head Scredwriver

• Electrical Tape

Step 1- Locate your owner’s manual and see the procedure for the headlight

removal. A headlight removal wrench is located in your front trunk area in the

tool kit. Owner’s manual shows detailed instruction for headlight removal.

Step 2- Remove 4 x Philips screws on the back cover and pry the top locking tabs

followed by the bottom locking tabs to release the back cover.

Step 3- Remove the H7 Headlight bulb by removing the connector and by

releasing the small metal clip behind the bulb and install the HID H7 Bulb .

Step 4- You will find 2 uncovered terminals the Red and Black Wire attached to

the Bulb wiring, connect the Red wire to the yellow wire on the headlight bulb

connector coming from the headlight and the Black on the brown wire. Use

electrical tape to seal the connections.

Step 5- Connect the rest of the connectors form the HID Bulb to the Ballast (Silver

Aluminum Box and the igniters (2 small black boxes) and tuck everything inside

the headlight carefully, the silver ballast box can lay on top of everything no need

to try to squeeze it in there.

Step 6- Put back the cover by installing the 4 x Philips screws, install your

headlights and voila.
