A New Home for Pediatricians

• Three additional seats for at-large directors from committees, councils and sections

–One at-large member

–One subspecialist

–One surgical specialist

DIVERSIFYING OUR BOARD

BYLAWS REVISIONS

• Board will add 3 at-large seats, one each representing committees, councils, and sections

• Addition of up to 3 District Nominating Committee members representing committees, councils, and sections

• Reduction of terms for District Chairs and District Vice Chairs from 3 years to 2 years

• Required board meeting invitations for pediatric trainee and family representatives

• Voting eligibility for candidate members

• Addition of pediatric lab directors and pediatric pharmacists as eligible for national affiliate membership

• Bylaws revisions require approval by 2/3rds of voters.

• Election held Nov 2-Dec 2

2. DTI leveraging user-focused/user-friendly digital products in response to members needs

3. 2018 District Meetings feature chapter management workshops on fundraising, volunteer and grants management and leveraging social media

4. Institutional membership arrangements in place in 11 academic institutions … resulting in new national and chapter members

5. New HQ and technology offers more access to CME/enables enhanced response to emerging health crises
