H-Ekwador is a versatile athlete with a highly interesting pedigree. He is a powerful, compact horse with a strong topline, expressive movement, and fantastic trainability. Before his dressage career he jumped successfully in young horse classes and competed at the Polish jumping championships. His offspring include the licensed Hambacher, and the KWPN-selected Kratos du Jeu, and are proving excellent sport horses across the disciplines. Beautiful, blood types with movement and jump, they all inherit their sire’s good temperament and rideability.
His full-Thoroughbred sire Heraldik, who jumped to 1.50m level, is widely considered the most successful sire of event horses ever, with many CCI5* event
horses to his name, including Butts Abraxxas, Butts Leon, and Happy Times. He is also the sire of the 2013 European Eventing Champion, Halunke FBW.
Damsire Corofino won at international 1.60m grand prix level, and is a son of Franke Sloothaak’s great champion, Corrado, who is in turn a son of the great foundation stallion Cor de la Bryere, and is the sire of Clinton, Coriano, Indorado, and many more international horses. Corofino produced many grand prix horses
including Nick Skelton and Tim Stockdale’s Olympic rides Russel and Corlato.
The direct damline of H-Ekwador has produced the international 1.60m grand prix horses Landjunge and Alcatraz, plus Mark Todd’s CCI5* eventer McClaren, in addition to several jumpers at 1.50m level. Third sire Landgraf is a Holstein
foundation sire, whose progeny have earned over €4.5million in prize money.
