In this current addition of our newsletter, we
have covered activities undertaken in the last
semester. I hope this edition will encourage all

GNIM was privileged to conduct “Anugoonj Zone-3 Prelims” in its campus on 24th &
25th Jan 2018. It was special event, a time when students across university are indulged in
exploring their passion, culture, and talents. The two days event was wonderful mix of joy
and creativity. Students had a plethora of competitions, culture shows, fashion shows all in
a lovely weather. It was a gala time for students who all made this fest vibrant and fun
filled.
LOHRI CELEBRATION
A seminar was conducted on
“Extraordinary Leadership
Talk” on 11th Jan 2018, by the
chief of army staff, General Bipin
Rawat. He expressed that
Extraordinary leadership springs
from a bunch of several qualities
including confidence, honesty,
commitment, integrity, patience,
transparency, creativity, positive
outlook, open mindedness, the
ability to delegate responsibility
and the ability to communicate
effectively was beautifully
delivered.
SEMINAR ON LEADERSHIP
“Lohri” is one of the most commonly
celebrated festivals in India and it is a
way to spread the joy of seeing the
sparkling pearls of Rabi crops amidst
traditional folk songs, dance and food.
This auspicious day was celebrated on
12th Jan 2018. All the members of GNIM
family worshipped the bonfire. Gachhak,
till bhugga, popcorn, rewris and
groundnuts were distributed among the
staff and the students. Students danced
around bonfire to enjoy the festival.
ANUGOONJ ZONE-3 PRELIMS
SEMINAR ON PYTHON
A “Seminar on python” was organized for the
students of MCA on 12th Feb 2018, by Mr
Vineet Saxena, Ducat, Noida. He explained to
the students that Python is a memory
management by reading in a file line-by-line
and how it will be useful in the programming
concepts.

Development Programme” was
organized on 19th
Feb 2018, by Mr.
Pawan Mehta, skill development
Trainer. He focused on how to create
opportunities, space and scope for
the development of the talents of
Indian youth.

PERSONALITY DEVELOPMENT
PROGRAMME
The even semester of the year 2018 was a
conjure up semester for the students of final
year. A series of personality development
session was conducted by Mr.Prabhat Kapoor ,
Team WizAllianz. The aim of the Programme
was to help participants to shape their
personalities by developing confidence and
positive attitude. The PDP programme will
also help students to promote free thoughts and
out of the box thinking and new ways to
resolve old problems.
A “Workshop on Internet solution” was held
on 19th March 2018, by Aashish Goyal & Deepin
Khatri, Directors, Invincible Web Solution. The
workshop helped students to improve their
employability quotient.

IT Club organized events such as “Techi
words, LAN Gaming” on 23rd March 2018.
Students from MCA , PGDM and BCOM
participated in the event and enjoyed a lot.

CELEBRATION
“Develop a Passion for learning. If you do, you will
never cease to grow”
The Sports Club organized various events like “Volley Ball Tournament, Tug of war,
and Peer to peer hoping” on 23rd March 2018. Students from all departments
participated in the event. Both boys and girls participated with full enthusiasm.
Management awarded the winners.
“Presentation Competition” was organized
by Marketing Club on 26th March 2018.
Different topics like Digitalization, Climate
change, Cyber crime, Future of Education in
India, Employment issues in India were
discussed in Presentation.

“Business Plan Competition” was
organized by Finance Club, on 27th
March 2018.The purpose was to devlop
entrepreneurship skills among students.
PGDM and BCOM students actively
participated in the event. PGDM Ist
year students grabbed the 1st position
and 1st runner up was BCOM(H) Ist
year students. It was a good learning
experience for the students.

Motivational Seminar
A “Motivational Seminar” was held
on 12th April 2018.The speaker was
Mr.Prateek Gupta, CEO & Founder of
Innovians Technologies &
Ingineeri.com. He spoke about how to
win in life : to work hard; complain
less; listen more; try, learn, grow ; don't
let people tell you it cant be done ;make
no excuses etc. It was a wonderful
motivational lecture.
“There is no end to education. It is not that you read a book, pass an
examination, and finish with education. The whole of life, from the
moment you are born to the moment you die, is a process of learning”.
International Conference
GNIM organized a Two days International
Conference on “Innovative Computing &
Communication(ICICC-2018)” on 5th & 6
th
May 2018.The conference not only witnessed
academicians and researchers of the industry
from all over India and abroad but also
strengthened their research to a new level.
Many researchers presented their papers
based on theme of the Conference. All the
faculty members Chaired their respective
sessions. It was a great source of Networking
with academic people.
Farewell Party
Meetly and Parting is a part of life. It’s no
wonder, then, that people have found many
ways to say farewell over the years. GNIM
organized a “Farewell Party” for
MCA,PGDM, BCOM(H) students on 24th
April 2018 in their campus. The event
included programmes dance, singing etc.
Overall the event was very enjoyable. The
final year students were honoured with
titles.
A workshop was organized on “Practical
Application of Income Tax & GST” on 20th
April 2018, by Dr.S.B.Rathore, Associate Prof ,
Shyam Lal College, Delhi University. He gave
very informative lecture on direct and indirect
tax. He explained about GST, and how GST is a
one task instead of service tax, VAT and excise
duty.
