The PSHS-CLC Guidance Center guides the scholars towards their total development through carefully planned guidance services, interventions, testing, career development, guidance and counseling. Basic Guidance Services a. Individual Inventory – gathers and synthesizes the informational data of students to facilitate better understanding of student problems and needs. b. Testing and Appraisal – administers and interprets tests and surveys to aid in understanding students. c. Information – provides students with information on school, scholarships, careers, etc. through maintaining a bulletin board of information on guidance concerns. d. Counseling – provides counseling through a helping relationship. e. Placement – assists students in applying for college admission and scholarships. f. Follow-up – involves monitoring and assistance to improve students' behavior and academic performance. Other Services Group Guidance – is an extension of the counseling assistance to large groups concerning common problems in personal, social or academic matter. This service includes Homeroom Guidance Program which is designed to provide an atmosphere of belongingness for the students. The HGP provides structured activities which allow students to express their feelings, share their insights and establish team and community spirit. Career Guidance Program – aids students in choosing their careers by providing them with information regarding college applications; by conducting placement, interest, and scholastic aptitude tests; through career counseling; and through career exposures. Orientation Program - Every year, the Guidance Center conducts orientation activities for the new and old students. Parents of these students are also being oriented of the school’s policies and guidelines, administration, faculty and personnel, and other concerns. Continuing Orientation Program – the concept of the program implies that orientation does not only start at the time a student had decided to enroll at Philippine Science High school.

 Peer Counseling Program – training students to help others by helping themselves at the same time. The program provides a venue wherein the youth can fully interact and establish healthy relationships among themselves. These 

students will become the extension arm of the Guidance Center through the Peer Facilitators’ Circle – a group formed last school year.

Friend Program – aims to develop a helping relationship among students and hopefully will minimize destructive competition.

Spiritual Development program— is about providing opportunities to students where they can seek and discover a faithful way of living that reflects the life of God. The Guidance Center desires to engage the students in the 

transformational activities, reflections and actions as they learned from the Word of God that will move them toward an on-going commitment of service to others. The various activities offered in the program invite students to engage in faithful reflection, spiritual nourishment and friendship, study of the Word, discussions on relevant 

issues affecting our culture and world, and worship of God. These activities will be conducted with the support of volunteer.

Team Building Workshops refers to a wide range of activities designed for improving team performance. It is pursued via a variety of practices, and can range from simple bonding exercises to complex simulations and team 

building retreats to develop a team. Team building is an important factor in any environment, its focus is to specialize in bringing out the best in a team to ensure self development, positive communication, leadership skills 

and the ability to work closely together as a team to problem solve.
