Sept. 19 - Taormina, ItalyExplore Taormina, climb to the mountaintop Greek Theater with itsspectacular views of the Mediterranean and Mt. Etna. Enjoy a gelatowhile shopping or simply wander the streets with the occasionalbreathtaking view over the cliffs to the seaside below.

Sept. 20 - Valletta, MaltaTravel to St. Paul's Bay to see the traditional site of Paul's shipwreckand view St. Paul's island from there. Embark on a narrated tour ofValletta, capital of Malta and a city replete with medieval charm andextravagantly grand architecture. No exploration would be completewithout a visit to Valletta’s crowning jewel, St. John’s Co-Cathedral. Thisbaroque masterpiece was commissioned in 1572 by Grand MasterJean de la Cassiere for the Knights of St John. In fact, several Knightsdonated gifts of art to ensure it was adorned with only the finest works.Enjoy a little free time to explore the area’s charming shops and cafesbefore returning to the ship.

Sept. 22 - Rhodes, Greece (On Own)Paul visited Rhodes briefly on his way to Jerusalem at the end of histhird missionary journey. Over 1,200 years later when Jerusalem fellduring the Crusades, the Knights of St. John fled to the island ofRhodes, where they ruled for two centuries. Suleiman the Magnificentfinally captured the island, but lost 50,000 men in the campaign. Thecastles and old town built by the knights are still impressive today.Shore excursions are booked through Celebrity.

Sept. 23 - At Sea

Sept. 24 & 25 - Bethlehem & Jerusalem, Israel We dock at Ashdod. Explore Bethlehem, where you’ll discover the caverevered as the place where Jesus was born (Matt. 1; Luke 2). Thechurch, which was constructed on the site, is the world’s oldestfunctioning church. Travel to Jerusalem and see the House of the High

Priest Caiaphas, where Jesus was tried before the Sanhedrin. Standupon the Mount of Olives and view the city as Jesus did. Wanderamong the olive trees of the Garden of Gethsemane. Enter the OldCity and see the Pool of Bethesda. You’ll walk along the Via Dolorosato the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, built over the sites of theCrucifixion and Resurrection.

Sept. 26 - Sea of Galilee, IsraelWe dock at Haifa. Venture inland to the Sea of Galilee. You’ll stand onthe Mount of the Beatitudes where Jesus gave His most well-knownsermon (Matthew 5). At Tabgha, the traditional location for the callingof the disciples and the feeding of the 5000, you’ll find the Church ofthe Fish and the Loaves (Luke 9). Visit the Chapel of the Primacy wherethree times Peter professed his devotion to the risen Christ (John 21).Travel to the shore town of Capernaum where Jesus called Peter,Andrew, James, John (Matt. 4) and later Matthew. Stop by the RiverJordan where those who wish to be baptized may do so.

For a gorgeous, panoramic view of theVenetian Harbor and lighthouse discover the Firkas Fort and climb tothe top! Shore excursions are booked through Celebrity.Sept. 29 - Athens & Corinth, GreeceDisembark this morning in Athens. The architectural splendors of theancient city of Athens are as magical as ever. View the world-renownedAcropolis, the Propylaea, and the Parthenon. Time permitting, viewMars Hill where Paul debated with the intellectual community of hisday. Walk among the ruins of the Agora, the ancient market place andcenter of Athenian public life. You will view the Olympic Stadium, homeof the Olympics. Travel to Corinth (Acts 18), a city that inspired St.Paul’s most familiar letter. You will visit the Archaeological Museum,the Market Place, and Temples. Walk among the ruins and stand onthe Bema where Paul stood. Read Paul’s letter to the Corinthians andvisualize his address to the Gentiles as he began the task of buildingCorinth’s church.
