VIRTUAL TOURS
Thanks to a partnership with Spin(a)tours, we have virtual, 360 tours of childcare centers to help
parents know what to look for. If you’ve never been to a childcare center before, how are you supposed to know
what quality LOOKS like. You can tour different areas of a typical, high quality child development center
Visit www.greenvillefirststeps.org/what-we-do#tour to take our Virtual Childcare Center Tour. You’ll have the opportunity to tour the:

Getting Parents Started is a checklist for families to start a dialogue with their existing or prospective childcare center. One of the toughest decisions a family can make is choosing quality childcare for their children. While some rely on the experiences of their neighbors and family, most parents need clear, objective information to compare one provider with another.
The purpose of GPS is to arm parents with a list of best practices and procedures, so families can ask questions of childcare providers as they find one that best suits their needs.

Read Greenville is a community wide awareness program designed to help spread the word about the importance of reading daily. Through a collaborative partnership with local organizations, Read Greenville educates the community about the importance of literacy,
provides strategies and ideas for engaging children and adults, and gives the tools necessary to create a literacy filled world for our residents.
As part of Read Greenville, Greenville County citizens and supporters are asked to advocate for and take part in reading daily. Businesses, schools, nonprofits, and
organizations will be asked to participate by encouraging their families, employees, and clients to pick up a book! Also, people are asked to post on Facebook, Twitter, and
Instagram what they are reading and tag with #ReadGreenville.

Children’s Hospital of Greenville Health System (GHS) thanks Greenville First Steps for helping children be ready for school so that they can build healthy minds!
We all take the health of our community a step in the right direction by caring for our most valuable resource—our children. At GHS Children’s Hospital, we provide patients and their families the full spectrum of care—medical to emotional needs, primary to specialty services and prevention to rehabilitation. We recognize that children aren’t small adults, and one size doesn’t fit all, so we deliver “whole child” care that’s just the right size.
Working together, we can keep our children healthy—mind and body. Let’s step up!
