The Conductor’s Craft seminar is designed for high school, community and college choral directors and college undergradu-ate and graduate music majors. Each workshop session will explore a variety of choral topics in depth and provide each participant with over 100 choral octavos in SATB, SSA and TTBB voicings.

For those who wish to drive to the workshop, Carthage College is just off I-94 north of Chicago and the campus offers free parking for workshop participants.
College CreditProfessional development certificates document-ing 23 hours of workshops, clinics and reading sessions will be offered to all participants. Two hours of graduate credit are available through the Carthage College School of Professional Studies.

Getting It “Right”Robert Bowker is a well-known singer, conductor, composer, arranger and producer. In the classical world, he has appeared as a soloist with the Chicago Sym-phony, the Grant Park Symphony, and the Rockefeller Chapel Choir at the University of Chicago. He has been a member of the Robert Shaw Festival Singers and has performed as chorister in fourteen Carnegie Hall Choral workshops under the late Mr. Shaw. His non-classical work includes singing and contracting for pop and jazz recordings, film scores, industrials, and thousands of commercials. He is co-author of Learning to Sing Non-Classical Music, published by Prentice Hall.
