The Tissue Box Cover on the picture is crochet with: Schachenmayr nomotta Bravo in 6 colors 4mm crochet hook It´s made for a box 12x12,5 cm But you can easily adjust the size by working less rows or adding more. I will tell you in the pattern where you have to do that. It´s up to you how many colors you will use for this project. I bet even in 1 color only it will look nice ;o) Afer working Rd 1 & 2 in the same color I attached a new color in every new Rd. So I will not mention that in the pattern again. I will only say “attach yarn”. Abbrevations (US Terms): Slip Stitch (sl st), Chain (ch), Single crochet (sc), Double crochet (dc), FO (fasten off) Pattern: You start at the top in the middle of the cover. Row 1 will build the opening where you can take out the tissues. Rd 1: ch 18, close with sl st to form a ring. Into this ring work: ch1, *3 sc, ch 2, 3 sc, ch 1, 3 sc, ch 1*, repeat from * to * 3 more times, sl st in 1st sc to close round. (= 4 ch2-spaces, 8 ch1-spaces) From now on you will only be working into the ch2-spaces (=corners) and the ch1-spaces. In Rd 2 I will write it down to make it clearer. After that I will not mention it again.

Rd 2: sl st 3 times (you shoul be in the 1st ch2-space now), Into this corner work: (ch3, 2dc, ch2, 3dc), *ch1, 3 dc into ch1-space, ch1, 3 dc into next ch1-space, ch 1, in next ch2-space work (3dc, ch2, 3dc)*, repeat from * to * 2 more times, ch1, 3 dc into next ch1-space, ch1, 3 dc into next ch1-space, ch 1, sl st in top of ch 3 to close round. FO. (= 4 ch2-spaces, 12 ch1-spaces) Rd 3: attach yarn in corner and work (ch3, 2dc, ch2, 3dc), *(ch1, 3dc) 3 times, in corner work (3 dc, ch2, 3dc)*, repeat from * to * 3 more times, (ch1, 3dc) 3 times, sl st in top of ch 3 to close round. FO. (= 4 ch2-spaces, 16 ch1-spaces) Rd 4: attach yarn in corner and work (ch3, 2dc, ch2, 3dc), *(ch1, 3dc) 4 times, in corner work (3 dc, ch2, 3dc)*, repeat from * to * 3 more times, (ch1, 3dc) 4 times, sl st in top of ch 3 to close round. FO. (= 4 ch2-spaces, 20 ch1-spaces) Here is the point where you sould measure if the square you made covers your top of the box. If it is to big do not work Rd 4 [I should have told you that earlier shouldn´t I ;o))) ] or if its to small repeat Rd 4 as often as needed. You only have to work 1 more group of (3 dc, ch1) between the corners on every Row you add. From Rd 5 on we will not be working any corners, so treat every ch-space of Rd 4 like a ch1-space. Rd 5 – 13: attach yarn in any chain space and work: ch 3, 2 dc, ch1, *3 dc, ch 1*, repeat from * to * 23 more times, sl st in top of ch 3 to close round. FO. Weave in all ends. (=24 groups of 3dc-ch1) You should mesure while you crochet Rows 5-13. Maybe you need more or less but you can try it by pulling the cover over your box from time to tome. The Cover should be about half a row or a row to long for the box. Chain 120 (or more if needed), FO. Weave this chain through the ch1-spaces of the last row, pull tight and make a little bow. Well done :o) your Tissue Box Cover is ready :o))) This is a free pattern I made to share with everyone who wants to have it. Feel free to share it with friends and family. But please do not sell for Profit. You can sell finished Project if you want to but I think they are better as a Gift ;o). That´s what they made for :o) !!!
