Gothic Art Facts

• Gothic Art was produced in Northern Europe from the middle ages up until the beginning of the Renaissance.

• Was especially known for the distinctive arched design of it’s churches, stained glass, and illuminated manuscripts.

• One of the most famous buildings in Gothic Art is Notre-Dame.

• Artists use the s-shaped lines in their artwork.• In their architecture, they use triforium, or a series of arches.• Artists also used a rectangular bay system to build the

buildings.
