Merry Christmas everyone! I hope all our families and friends have a wonderful Christmas and

New Year and a safe and happy holiday.

See you all in 2021 for another fabulous year.

    Year 6 Farewell

Tonight is the night of the Year 6 Farewell. All

Year 6 students need to arrive at 6.15pm from

    the Hume Street entrance.

The evening will commence with a light supper.

Students will enjoy the recording of a guest

speaker, baby photograph slide show and the

    presentation of their certificates and

P&C/school gift. They will also be performing

their Year 6 musical item and line dancing, as

    acceptable under the COVID guidelines.

    The evening concludes at 8.45pm.

Students are to be collected from the drop-off

zone at the Hume Street entrance and the bus

zone at Elliott Street. It is preferred that

parents/carers remain in their vehicles to assist

us in complying with social distancing

requirements. Please be patient as this may take

    some time.

Hume Street – Students with surnames A-L

Elliott Street – Students with surnames M-Z

All the best Year 6 – have a wonderful night and

remember this will be one of the highlights of

    your years in primary school.

Rod Maggs, Assistant Principal, Stage 3

  • Year 6 Walk of Honour

    Wednesday 16 December

    At 2.40pm tomorrow,

    students of GPS will form

    a guard of honour to

    farewell our Year 6 students

as they head off to high school life and beyond.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions and so that

parents and carers can attend, we plan to hold

    this in the bottom playground.

Parents/carers and friends are invited to line up

along the Barrington and Hume Street fences to

    watch this event.

If in the event of rain, this of course will have to

be abandoned and will be held in the middle

playground. Unfortunately, parents will not be

    able to attend.

Best of luck Year 6! You are an amazing group of

fantastic people. Thank you for all you have

contributed to our school over the last seven

    years. We will miss you!

As the old Irish blessing says:

May the road rise to meet you,

May the wind be always at your back,

May the sun shine warm upon your face,

The rains fall soft upon your fields and,

    Until we meet again,

May God hold you in the palm of His hand.

All of the staff and students of

    Gloucester Public School

    Thank you –

We would like to say a big thank you to

Gloucester Public School staff, especially all the

teachers we have had over the last seven years.

We will really miss all of the staff and fellow

    students!

We have so many great memories from the past

    seven years.
