The 10th Global Congress Is Back in London
Regulations on carbon emissions and consumer demand for lower fuel bills is continuing to put pressure on OEMs to leverage lightweight materials such as high strength steel, aluminium, carbon fibre composites, plastics and magnesium.
However to do this, significant cost reductions still need to be made in regards to the supply of material, the forming of components and the joining of parts. OEMs, Tier 1s and material suppliers must forge robust supply chains, select appropriate technology and reduce cycle times to make materials viable for high volume implementation and production.
In recent years, all stakeholders have relied upon the GALM Series, now spreading across three continents, to provide the very latest updates across design and manufacturing for lightweight materials. The Global Automotive Lightweight Materials Congress is now returning to London to deliver 20+ case studies across multi-material design and joining, material supply, component forming and lifecycle analysis, to continue supporting OEMs in the mission critical cost reduction drive.
Designed with the aid of industry professionals, this latest congress is set to provide insights into the most critical challenges facing the industry to enable the development of low-weight, low-cost design architectures.
