Giorgio Armani was born in 11 July 1934.

He is an Italian fashion designer,

particularly noted for his menswear. He is known today for his clean, tailored lines.

Giorgio Armani formed his company, Armani, in 1975, and by 2001 was acclaimed as the most successful designer to

come out of Italy, with an annual turnover of $1.6 billion, and a personal fortune of $5 billion.

The company currently Armani - one of the leading legislators in the

world of fashion. It produces exclusive, collectable and beautiful line of men's and women's clothing,

shoe collection, accessories, haberdashery, watches and jewelry.

Giorgio Armani will launch Idole d’Armani in

September. The new perfume for women is

meant as a “a real tribute to femininity, a big thank you to all the women who have

inspired over the years”.

Idole d’Armani is a spicy floral

developed by perfumer Bruno Jovanovic, and

features notes of clementine, pear, ginger, davana,

saffron, jasmine, loukoum rose, patchouli and

vetiver.

The gold cap is meant to mimick a

gold bar. The bottle wants to be

both feminine (round shape) and strong (the ribbed

sides).

Giorgio Armani has chosen actress Kasia

Smutniak to be the face of his new signature

women’s fragrance IDOLE d’ARMANI.

Kasia Smutniak was born on 13 August 1979 in Pila, Poland. She started model career when she was 15 years old. Kasia speaks fluent Polish, Russian,

English and Italian. She is currently cast in the 2003 advertisments for TIM, an

Italian phone company.
