Who has the obligation of submitting the 720 form since tax year 2012?

■ Legal and natural persons residing in Spain, permanent establishments located in Spain that belong to non-resident people and non-resident entities and the entities referred to in Article 35.4 of the Law 58/2003.

■The 720 form has been created by the Public Administration in order to prevent and fight against tax evasion in a more efficient way.

■ Taxpayers have to use it when they submit the information return.

■ It is an information return about properties and entitlements that are abroad.

Foreigners who are Spanish residents must get a Spanish Social Security number. European pensioners must inform the health authority in their country of origin that they are leaving the country.
