CONCLUSIONS

The study of rare genetic disorders has led to the

identification of genes that are important in human

growth and development.

These new insights can enhance our understanding of

the pathophysiology of more common disorders in

the population such as growth disorders, cancer,

osteoporosis and osteoarthrosis.

This new knowledge may also unravel the genetic

factors that determine variation in human height
