WHAT ABOUT THE WEATHER IN MARCH?
In October, average temperatures are between 12 ºC at night and 18 ºC in daytime. Punta
Umbría is a perfect destination in March to enjoy the beaches and the tourist area of
Huelva. There are few probabilities of rain and wind is not expected.

HOW TO GET TO PUNTA UMBRÍA?
By plane: Seville and Faro are the closest airports. We will inform about transfers in due
time.
By train: there are many daily and frequent connections from Madrid to Seville and
Huelva. More info here: www.renfe.es.
By bus: there are daily connections from Madrid to Seville and Huelva.
By car: you can drive to Huelva and Punta Umbría from:
• Northwest: A66 highway.
• Centre: coming from and through Madrid.
• Southeast: all Andalucía straight forward to Huelva and Punta Umbría.
• Southwest: from Portugal.

REGISTRATION PROCESS
PROCESS
1. AG athletes will be registered through their National Federation (NF) by a
designated AG Team Manager.
2. AG athletes need to contact their National Federation for further information.
3. In case an athlete is not able to get in touch with his/her National Federation,
he/she should contact [email protected].
4. Any athlete who is participating in more than 1 event will need to be registered
separately in each event by his/her NF.
5. NFs are to collect the entry fees from athletes. No athlete can directly pay the LOC.
Registration process closes on the 23rd of February.

• Sprint Duathlon 130 €
• Standard Duathlon 140 €
• Both Events 216 € (-20%)
CAN I RACE IN TWO EVENTS?
Yes, as long as you comply with ETU specifications. You will be given a finisher t-shirt and
a finisher medal.
There will be a 20% discount if you decide to register for both events; the total entry fee
amounts to 216 €.
IF I HAVE REGISTERED AND I CANNOT RACE, WILL I GET MY MONEY BACK?
Sorry, no.

WHAT WILL I RECEIVE AT REGISTRATION?
At registration, you need to show your Passport or ID (with photo), and after data
verification you will receive:
• A wristband
• An opening ceremony voucher
• A closing ceremony voucher
• A welcome package (only 1, even if you register for two events)
Aditionally, you will receive an envelope that includes:
• Your bib number
• Stickers: helmet (x3), bike (x1), cloakroom (x1)
• A tattoo (x1), with the race number for the right arm
• A tattoo (x1), with the race number for the left leg
• A tattoo (x1), with the age group category for the calf
WHEN WILL REGISTRATION OPEN?
Registration will be opened from Thursday to Saturday, from 10:00 to 20:00 at Barceló
Resort.
Welcome package pick up Registration will open on Thursday and you can come at any time during opening hours
(see above); there is no specific time assigned to NFs.
If you have registered for both events, you can pick up your package for both.
IF I AM FINISHER, WILL I RECEIVE ANY ADITIONAL GIFT?
All finisher athletes will receive:
• Sprint Duathlon: medal and t-shirt
• Standard Duathlon: medal and t-shirt
WHERE WILL THE ATHLETES ’ BRIEFINGS TAKE PLACE?
Athletes’ briefings will take place at Barceló Resort.

IS THERE GOING TO BE MASSAGE SERVICE?
Yes, after each event at the Recovery Area.
Additionally and during the week of the event, massage services will be offered (more info
shortly).
MEDAL ENGRAVING
Commemorate your achievement! Engrave your FINISHER time on your medal! You can book this service online, just go HERE and pay 10€. Or also, when you have crossed the Finish Line go to the Recovery Area and pay 15€.
TRAINING FACILITIES
SWIM Athletes and coaches can access to the swimming pool of Punta Umbría, from Wednesday to Monday (from 12.00 to 14.00). There is free admission for athletes if you show your ID (with photo) or passport at the entrance. Staff will check it with the start lists to let you go in. POST-EVENT SERVICES
WILL THERE BE CHANGING ROOMS AND SHOWERS?
The Recovery Area is provided with changing rooms and bathrooms.
Athletes are welcome to use the showers of Punta Umbría swimming pool.

WHAT ABOUT THE LOST & FOUND OFFICE?
If you lose anything, you can go to the Lost & Found Office at the Expo, next to where you
will pick up your bag with your bib numbers, at Barceló Resort.
CAN I WEAR MY OWN UNIFORM?
It is compulsory to wear the uniform of your National Federation, the country you are
representing.
WILL THERE BE AN EXHIBITION AREA-EXPO?
Yes, at Barceló Resort, on the days before the event; and on Saturday and Sunday at the
main venue (Avenida de Andalucía).
WHEN WILL THE ROADS BE CLOSED? WHICH ROADS WILL BE TRAFFIC -
FREE?
Roads will be closed one hour before the races start. If you are staying in Punta Umbría,
we recommend you to walk to the venue, as everything is within 1 km walking distance.
WHEN WILL THE COURSES BE MARKED?
We plan to have the courses marked by Tuesday.
WILL THERE BE LIVE TIMING OF THE EVENT?
Yes, all events will have live timing through the official APP which you can find in Apple
Store y Android when you search FETRI.
WILL THERE BE FREE PHOTOS OF THE EVENT?
Yes, there will be an official photographer at the Finish Line. Photos will be posted on
Facebook.
BIKE SEGMENT
IS IT COMPULSORY TO WEAR THE BIB NUMBER IN THE BIKE SEGMENT?
According to the rules, it is not compulsory but optional.
HOW MANY LANES WILL THERE BE?
The number of lanes will depend on the race. At least one lane per race (sometimes more
lanes).
RIDING ON THE BIKE COURSE
Athletes are requested to ride on the right hand side of the road (pass on the left).
IF I DECIDE TO DROP OUT OF THE RACE, WILL THERE BE VEHICLES TO
BRING ME BACK TO THE TRANSITION AREA?
There will be a support vehicle following the last athlete, who is starting the last lap,
during Age Group events.
RUN SEGMENT
WHERE SHOULD ATHLETES THROW AWAY TRASH OR UNWANTED OBJECTS?
Athletes MUST dispose of trash or unwanted objects (glasses, bottles, spare parts, etc.) at
Aid Stations or designated areas.
IS IT COMPULSORY TO RUN WITH THE BIB NUMBER ON?
Yes, athletes are requested to wear their bib number at all times and always visible.
VIEWERS-CHEER LEADERS!
CAN MY FRIENDS/RELATIVES ACCOMPANY ME DURING THE RACE TO CHEER
ME UP?
There will be grandstands next to the Finish Line to follow up athletes.
CAN MY RELATIVES/FRIENDS CROSS THE FINISH LINE WITH ME?
According to the rules, no.
CAN RELATIVES/FRIENDS ACCESS THE MEDICAL / FIRST AID TENT TO MEET
AN INJURED ATHLETE?
No. Relatives and friends will be duly informed but it is advisable to avoid crowds in the
medical area to provide the best medical care. Thanks for your understanding!
OTHER
WILL I FIND MY CHIP IN THE ATHLETE’S BAG?
Yes. Please do check you have received the chip before the race starts.
CAN BIKES GO ON TRAINS AND BUSES?
Yes. Although if you are staying in Punta Umbría everything is within walking distance.
