Team Building Activity

• Break into groups of 4 to 5– No more than one person from each discipline– Pick up materials from front table• 1 piece of paper• Pencils• Crayons

Design Our T-shirt

• Design the Tau Beta Pi T-shirt for this year• Designs do not have to be finalized, basic

ideas acceptable• You have ten minutes to brainstorm and

design• Everyone will vote at end of ten minutes• Winning Design will get FREE T-shirts

Vote for your T-shirt

• Place a post-it note on the design that you like the most

• All post-its will be counted and winner will be announced by end of meeting

Volunteer Opportunities

• Outreach Programs– CISCOR STEM Outreach

• Go to NIMS Middle School to promote science, mathematics, and engineering to students using Lego Mindstorms and other items

– The Massie Chair Program• Volunteer with HPMI to promote science, mathematics, and

engineering to students in Cairo through presentations– The Brogan Outreach

• Promote Engineering with Dr. Oates using smart materials (Saturday Mornings)

– Challenger Learning Center• Curriculum for Challenger Center outreach still being developed

Volunteer Opportunities

• Engineering Day– Various Volunteers for greeting, lunch, tear down

• CoE Club Fair (Sponsored by TBP)– September 30th 10:30 AM – 3:30 PM– Volunteers for setup, tear down, and info table

• Pottsdamer Street Clean Up – October 17th at 10:00

• October 23rd & 24th – Halloween Howl

• Spring 2009 acceptance rate was 14% of eligible students

• Encourage friends, underclassmen, classmates to join!

• Eligible Candidate names are posted on website / will be posted on posters – look for people you know and talk to them
