CHALLENGES
• Working next to live traffic. • Non continuous work times
(weekends only). • Requirements to return to an
operational motorway at the end of every shift.
• Maintaining the operational capability of the tunnel for motorway operation requirements during construction.
• Close proximity to the community. • Managing environmental
constraints. • Staging and sequencing.
Widening of an existing tunnel while maintaining traffic flow at all times is a first for Australia
