40-Hour Truck Driver
Refresher Program
The 40–hour truck driver refresher course is
designed to reacquaint the student who hasn’t
worked in the trucking industry for a long period
of time. The student will learn skills to obtain
his/her CDL license and re-enter the trucking
industry as a professional commercial truck
driver upon successful completion of the
course. The course is also available to those
who would like to improve on their existing
skills, such as backing, shifting, or driv-
ing. This course is customized to each stu-
dent’s needs and may include classroom,
range, and road time.
All persons age 18 and older may participate in
the training program. However, a student who
expects to operate in interstate or foreign com-
merce will be required to comply with Part 391
of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
which states that a driver “is at least 21 years
old.” Those persons age 18 -20 may only oper-
ate in intrastate commerce. Students must have
his/her permit or valid CDL. The cost of this
course is $900, including the CDL Skills Test.

Forklift Operator & Safety
Training
This is an 8-hour high-impact training, de-signed for novice operators, assists partici-pants in becoming an authorized forklift op-erator. Instruction includes an introduction to the truck, controls and instruments, plus the essentials of forklift safety. Pharmacy Technician
Program
This comprehensive 50 hour program will
prepare students to work as a pharmacy tech-
nician in a retail or other pharmacy setting and
to take the Pharmacy Technician Certification
Board’s PTCB exam. Course content in-
cludes: pharmacy medical terminology, the
history of pharmacy, the pharmacy practice in
multiple environments, pharmacy calculations
and measurements, reading and interpreting
prescriptions and defining drugs by generic
and brand names. Through classroom lecture
and hands on labs, students will review dosage
calculations, drug classifications, the “top 200
drugs,” I.V. flow rates, sterile compounding,
dose conversions, aseptic technique, the han-
dling of sterile products, total parental nutri-

Level-HCP) Recertification
This class is designed for healthcare provid-
ers who are currently certified in Health Care
Provider (HCP) and want to recertify their
American Heart Association CPR card.
Course curriculum follows the 2010 AHA
science and guidelines for CPR. This class
teaches the skill of CPR AED for victims of
all ages. This course is for the healthcare
professional who needs to know how to per-
form CPR as well as other lifesaving skills in
a wide variety of settings in both the in-
hospital and out of hospital settings. $30.00

Medical Billing and Coding
Program
This combined 80 hour billing and coding
course offers the skills needed to solve insur-
ance billing problems, how to manually file
claims (using the CPT and ICD-9 manual),
complete common insurance forms, trace de-
linquent claims, appeal denied claims and use
generic forms to streamline billing proce-
dures. The course covers the following areas:
CPT (Introduction, Guidelines, Evaluation and
Management), specialty fields (such as sur-
gery, radiology and laboratory), ICD-9
(Introduction and Guidelines) and basic claims
processes for medical insurance and third party
reimbursements. Students will learn how to
find the service and codes using manuals,
(CPT, ICD-9 and HCPCS).
Note: After obtaining the practical work expe-
rience (6months to 2 years), students who com-
plete this course could be qualified to sit for
the American Academy of Professional Coders
(AAPC) - Certified Professional Coder Exam
(CPC or CPC-H Apprentice); the American
Health Information Association (AHIMA)
