Section 2: Hazard Information These products are classified as low hazard. Section 3: Composition / Information on Ingredients Graphite Impregnated PVC compound / inorganic mineral filler. Mixture in a glass fibre bag. Section 4: First Aid Measures 4.1 Skin Contact: Not applicable. 4.2 Throat Contact: Not applicable. 4.3 Eye Contact: In case of contact with eyes rinse thoroughly with plenty of water and seek medical advice. 4.4 Ingestion: Wash out mouth with plenty of water. Give plenty of water to drink and seek medical advice. 4.5 Doctor to treat symptomatically. Section 5: Fire-Fighting Measures The material will emit acid smoke and irritating fumes on combustion, forming corrosive hydrochloric acid. 5.1 Suitable extinguishing media: Foam, carbon dioxide or dry powder. 5.2 Extinguishing media that must not be used for safety reasons: Water - upon extinguishing with water, the material

will produce hydrochloric acid, that is corrosive. 5.3 Combustion Products: Carbon Dioxide, Carbon Monoxide, Hydrogen Chloride, Oxides of Chlorine (Cl0/CLO2). 5.4 Special protective equipment for fire fighters: Full chemical protective clothing and observe normal fire fighting

procedures.

Section 6: Accidental Release Measures No special measures required. Section 7: Handling & Storage No special precautions necessary unless bag splits and releases contents. 7.1 Store in a cool, dry, well ventilated place. 7.2 Store away from strong oxidising agents or alkali metals. 7.3 Keep away from sources of ignition. Section 8: Exposure Control / Personal Protection 8.1 Respiratory Control: None if bag is intact. If bag splits, Maximum Exposure Limit (MEL) 5mg/m3, 8 hour time

weighted average gravimetric measure. If the MEL is likely to be exceeded (for example working in confined spaces), disposable face masks complying with BS EN149 FFP1 or FFP2 should be used and are suitable for most applications.

Decomposition Products: When the product is heated to approximately 180ºC, the intumescent material. Starts to exfoliate and releases decomposition gases. The duration of release will depend on the size of the pillow used.
