This is a wonderful news not only for AZKOR but also for the Order of the Knights of Rizal. Our very own Sir Edwin Bael, KCR who was the former Consul General of Los Angeles and who became a member of AZKOR and subsequently, one of the Council of Elders is one of the candidates for trustees of the Supreme Council. Sir Edwin as many of us know was instrumental in setting up – with the assistance of his son – our own web site www.azkorinc.com in collaboration with Sir Rene Borromeo, our chapter chancellor. When Sir Edwin attended the 19th International Assembly of the Knights of Rizal in Baguio City in Feb. 2012, I prod- ded or encouraged him to continue to be active with our Order so that he can run as a member of the Supreme Coun- cil. Not only that he is handsome but he is a great speaker and prolific writer. He has written numerous articles about Dr. Jose Rizal, and knows more about our Phiilippine national hero than most of us. Sir Edwin and myself are co-incorporators of the Arizona Knights of Rizal, Inc. I envision that if he is elected as a member of the Supreme Council, then not in the distant future, he will be elected as Supreme Commander of our Order.
