Project Harmony and other local donors

Child Development Center“Kidz Connect”

Project Harmony is a groupof job mates from QuezonCity, that formed a choirtwo years ago. Ever sincethat day they have beenpracticing and the lastweek of November 2016they gave their first con-cert. They decided that thechoir not just should besomething nice for the 20members but that theyshould use their talent todo charity also. They foundCMP on the Internet andcalled us and asked if theycould help us in some dif-ferent ways. On the saidconcert they fundraisedsome money and used thatto buy food, books andtoys. One Sunday theyspend a half day togetherwith the children in Kid´sconnect. The sang together

with the children, con-ducted games, shared ameal etc. They also gavereally nice second handclothes that we will use asChristmas gifts when we goout with the Mobile Clinicto the land field areas. Theyplan to spend more timewith CMP during 2017.

Lately we have also beenblessed by two differentgroups of former Highschool class mates that hasgiven time and spentmoney, donated secondhand clothes etc to help uswith different programs.Consular Corps of the Phil-ippines donated in Novem-ber a big amount of moneythat will be used in ourCommunity Nutrition Pro-gram to buy medicines for

children with weight verybelow normal. We are so thankful to thiskind of connections andthe blessings they bringinto different programs. Are you interested to joinin helping us?

Please come and visit us orcall to our office or send amessage on messanger!

The Lord blesses the teamwith the new challenge ofserving Him through han-dling the children in KidzConnect or formerlyknown as Drop-in Center.Through our vivid prayersto reach-out more souls forHis glory. We believed thatHe answered us accordingto His will.

At CDC, we are enhancingthe talents and skills ofthese children for them tobe able to have an im-proved life and developedtheir potential as humanbeing.

We grouped children fromages 5 to 9 years old andcalled them the “Stand-outKids” while children 10 to13 years old are called “Vic-torious Kids”. From Mon-days to Fridays our KidzConnect students have

been able to learn basicfood preparation & baking, sports, arts and crafts, mu-sic, dance & voice lesson, health and communityawareness and light groupwhich are focusing ondiscipling children, teach-ing them Christian BiblicalValues and leading them tohave a right relationshipwith our Savior.

Why calling it “Kidz Con-nect”? Because we aim toconnect the children to ourSavior and for them to re-ceive the gift of eternal life.

We believed that whilethey were learning and de-veloping their God givenabilities they will also expe-rience the power of our Al-mighty God. Not only forthemselves but it will passon to their love ones. Theywill soon become a poten-tial leader of their church

and a good and responsiblecitizen of their community.

We believed in faith onwhat is written “Train up achild in the way he should

go, and when he is old hewill not depart from it.”

Through KIDZ CONNECT,we are CONNECTINGLIVES to CHRIST!

they can be free to play andto learned things with thehelp of the interns thatguide them throughoutthe activities.Pahingahan is trying to im-part on the children sincethey used to spend theirfree time staying on thestreets. Children also haveshown different personali-ties.We want us to make themfeel the love, that someonecares for them, that theyare safe and secure despiteof the happenings outside. In simple things that we dofor them is a lot of thingsthat could happen.

Last December 15, the MCHC staff together with Ma’am Eva, and her cousin Tomas with his family went to SitioPintor for our weekly Mobile clinic. At the same time, we gave a pack of clothes to all the kids we catered there. Itis good to see the smile on their faces as they received a free check up and gifts. Like what our visitor said, eventhough they don’t have a good place to live, not enough food to take everyday still you can see those happy facesespecially on the children. Those smile from them inspired us to give and do more for the needy people .

Kid’z Connect Recitalby: Child Development Program

Last December 13, 2016the Child DevelopmentCenter conducted our firstRecital in San Isidro. Ouraim is for the children toboost their self-esteemand confidence and to con-nect and to build a strongrelationship with their par-ents.

While conducting thisevent, our hearts we'refilled with joy and gladness. At last after 2 ½ months ofimparting them our talentsand skills somehow theyable to show what theyhave got.

We can say that the Lordbuild their self confidence

in singing, dancing, playing guitar andeven in role playingfor they knew thatthey are not doingit for themselvesbut for the glory ofGod.

As the Kidz Con-nect children pre-sented variety oftalents, they wereexcitedly and energeticallygiving their best.

Parents who witnessed theevent is indeed was verythankful for they saw thebig changes and improve-ments in the lives of thechildren. Not only that,

they’ve learned and we'reable to enhance their skills.

Above all, what is more im-portant is they havelearned how to pray and totalk with God. They arenow connected to Jesuswho blessed them with ta-

lents and skills and gave Hislife for them.

Indeed! God is the sourceof everything. And for that,we praise Him and givingHim all the glory!
