HARE: - NILLY WILLY. A small but select boutique bunch of Hashers gathered at the scheduled venue on a lovely night in Freo. Amid consternation that the splash was not yet here we considered the awful truth that they may be away and we would have to fend for ourselves (.....Don't panic......there is a pub nearby.......) Allowing an extra five minutes wait, a communal sigh of relief could be heard as the car arrived and splash was off-loaded. The Hares instructions were somewhat convoluted but off we trudged, runners and walkers in opposite directions only to find we had, in fact gone the same way due to checks and FT's. Amusing ......and Oh!....sooooo quaint. Further on, walkers lost trail so milled around like ants for a while till an executive decision was made to go directly to the drinks stop. IT WAS A BEAUTY.........very QUAINT and so interesting ! Thanks to the home owners for being so hospitable and to the Hare, Nilly for the repast which would earn him many points on the Hashometer Scale ! It did but he also got to keep the dummy-spit shorts for another week...... Eventually, returning to the venue, young Skippy ran like the wind to let the cooks know to start cooking our burgers......It was a long run so we ate first, (Yummy, messy and tasty) Then it was back to the circle, usual charges, fines and general down downs and an additional naming (I think or was that another group I went to.....?)There were some true stories and jokers and we wrapped up the night with a rousing rendition of our song...... It was a great night ! ON-ON, again from the Mystery Scribbler. (In the absence of the resident scribe). See below for where to go…………………………For this week’s run, that is. Ossifers:
