A decent S-Max is the thickend of £30,000 – hideously over-crowded digital instrumentsaside – it garners enough of apremium feel to start to seem

comparatively good value.This incarnation seems softer

and more compliant than be-fore, suggesting that older buy-ers with growing families whowant more comfort than sporti-ness will come to appreciate theS-Max more than ever.

This car summed up in a sin-gle word: Titanic.

If this car was a footballer itwould have grown out of itsboisterous phase and focusedinstead on doing an excellent job day-in, day-out.
