Fred swept the former Mary Lou Buzby off her feet in a 6-month courtship when she was a 19-year-old secretary. Fred and Mary Lou were married at Salem United Methodist Church in Pleasantville, NJ in 1948 and are residents of Egg Harbor Township, NJ. They are the parents of Craig Starn of Philadelphia, PA. Karen Guempel and son-in-law Bob Guempel of Toms River, NJ. They have two grandchildren, Greg and Laura Sue Guempel. Fred is a WWII veteran who served in the Navy Seabees in the South Pacific and went on to become President of Starn’s Shop Rite Super markets, Inc. Mary Lou was employed by Texcel Tape Corp., was a homemaker and worked at the supermarket office. Together Fred and Mary Lou enjoy their family and friends, enjoyed boating, golfing and wintering in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. They worship at the Ocean City Tabernacle, Central United Methodist Church in Linwood, and Jupiter First Church in Florida. Butler to Caitlin Cassidy from Dallas, Tx. David is a 2009 graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy, and is currently flying C-17A’s, stationed in Honolulu, Hi. Caitlin is a 2012 graduate of the University of Hawaii with a Bachelors degree in Marketing, working for a medical insurance company. The couple reside in Oahu, Hawaii.
