Freaker USA Inc. started with one man and two knitting needles. Now the company consists of a small group of young & inspired entrepreneurs using the ingenuity of their generation to create a unique and interactive business model. The FreakerTeam is a crew of quirky creatives; designers, internet-gurus and filmmakers. In a time that presents little financial op-portunity for the contemporary youth, the Freaker team is creating their own job market through the social media they were bred on. They weave the Freaker so artfully and seamlessly in and out of everything they do, that its hard to see the lines between the product, the life and the profile of Freaker-culture.

Rather than seek out angel investors or venture capitalists for their project, the company once again is turning to the social media they know so well: crowdfunding via Kickstarter. Kickstarter is a dynamic platform where the general public can financially support creative projects through small donations. In order for this funding to succeed, each project launches a video in order to pitch the idea to potential backers which is ideally the entire online community.

The video produced by the FreakerTeam is ri-diculous; its over the top stream of conscious madness- think the Pikeys from Snatch meets the dino-DNA video from Jurassic Park plus Martha Stewart and a twist of methamphet-amines- and afterward it leaves you completely blindsided, like if youre not with them youre being left behind on the ride of your life.

They arent selling a product, theyre giving you an invitation to their party; a starter kit for a new lifestyle. The Freaker isnt a strike-at-the-wind attempt to get rich, its the background music to a never-ending journey. Infusing life into a drink sweater, the FreakerTeam of mad-cap facilitators want to make sure you know that youre invited to join in the fun.

Manufactured in Troy, North Carolina, Freakers are nationally recognized as the one-size-fits-all knit coozie that functionally makes your beverage feel special. Presented in myriad of prismatic designs; the Freaker is a strong, tight knit that keeps your liquids insulated in style!

There are countless examples of I wish Ida thought of that! inven-tions that have branded themselves on our anthropological landscape: the Slinky, neon lights, Febreeze, laser pointers, and most recently Silly Bandz. Humans love the peripheral and even more than that we love style, and Zachary Crain, inventor of the Freaker, knows this.

Even if there was never such a thing as a Freaker, Zach Crain would get noticed; he makes his own clothes (and his dogs clothes), and he cant remember the last time he wasnt smiling.

He originally was trying to develop beer-sweaters that he was making from actual sweaters. He wanted to manufacture them without seams, so he contacted a sock mill that had a circular knitting machine; the mill sent a sample made with spandex, and the Freaker was born. The mill is located locally in Troy, North Carolina. Zach Crain has a tendency to sleep on the factory floors so that he can stay overnight de-signing and lending a hand to the production process. Now, Zach Crain has fully bloomed into the Freak Master of the USA. He spends his days designing Freakers and building paper mache worlds for Freakers-turned-marionettes. He works day and night for the greater good of preventing awkward moist handshakes throughout the world!
