FOUNDATION OVERVIEW & WHAT YOUR SUPPORT MEANS

We are pleased to announce Cosley Foundation is hosting its annual

Cosley Zoo Run for the Animals 5K/10K & ½ Mile Zippity Zoo Run on

Saturday, June 6, 2015 in downtown Wheaton, Illinois. This year’s

Cosley Zoo Run’s goal is to raise funds for the important animal care

and conservation programs at Cosley Zoo. We are actively seeking

partner organizations and cordially invite you to participate as an event

sponsor.

Together with your support, Cosley Foundation helps to heighten

awareness and financial support for:

The care of over 300 animals

Free admission for all children

Development of new exhibit spaces

Quality programs for thousands of students

Exciting animal enrichment

Special behind the scenes tours for families

, Cosley Zoo serves more than 150,000 annual visitors and LOCALLY

admission is always free for children. Cosley Zoo provides regular

programs and events for families, children, adults, and scholars. In 2014,

Cosley Zoo updated its Coyote Exhibit, started a new Animal & Nature

Education Box program for local school teachers to rent free of charge,

and welcomed its newest resident Wiley the coyote.

, Cosley Zoo helps with important conservation efforts STATEWIDE

such as the Blanding’s Turtles Recovery project. This particular animal

is on the endangered species list, and Cosley Zoo along with other

organizations, are working to heighten awareness and save the

Blanding’s Turtles. Also, in 2014, Cosley Zoo was awarded an over

$18,000 grant through the Department of Commerce and Economic

Opportunity to encourage and further educate the public about recycling.

, Cosley Zoo is recognized and accredited by the NATIONALLY

Association of Zoos and Aquariums for its excellence in animal care and

conservation. Only 228 of the world’s zoos and aquariums are accredited

with this distinguished honor (less than 5%). Cosley Zoo is visited by

residents from just about every zip code in Illinois, 46 states, and four

countries outside of the USA. Cosley Zoo has also provided internship

programs for young adults from education institutions around the nation.

The Cosley Zoo Foundation Board and Staff Members are honored to

serve as ambassadors and liaisons to native Illinois wildlife living at

Cosley Zoo. Collectively, we look forward to expanding our offerings in

2015 and 2016 through your support of this year’s Cosley Run

fundraiser event.

Terms & Conditions with Cosley Foundation Sponsorship

1. Statement of Purpose: Partnership/Sponsorship with Cosley Foundation, Inc. (CF) (WPD)

for an event/program/activity/publication is to positively promote and financially support

the mission and good works of Cosley Zoo.

2. Control of Content and Selection: CF is ultimately responsible for control of content and

selection of presenters, moderators, entertainers, products, event/program/activity

logistics/layout, and/or publication logistics/layout.

3. Involvement in Content: CF staff will accordingly with the Sponsoring Company’s

Contact to ensure appropriate involvement for the decisions regarding

event/program/activity/publication content/layout.

4. Disclosures of Financial Relationships: CF will ensure disclosure to the audience of (a)

company funding and (b) any significant relationship between the WPD and the Company.

5. Independence in the Use of Contributed Funds: Partnership/Sponsorships made to the

CF may be setup as restricted or unrestricted. This information will be included in the

Commitment Form.

6. Auxiliary Support: Any other support by the CF for the Company in regards to the

event/program/activity/publication (e.g., distributing brochures, preparing slides) must be

given with the full knowledge and approval of the sponsor and CF. This information is to

be included in the Commitment Form.

7. Logos: All logos are to be sent to CF in one of the following formats: jpg, png, tif, ai, bmp.

All artwork must be camera ready and high-resolution.

8. Cancellation: CF holds the right to cancel or postpone an event at their discretion. This

includes event/program/activity/publication cancelation due to inclement weather or unsafe

conditions.

9. Cancellation of Partnership/Sponsorship: Cancellation of Partnership/Sponsorship must

be done in writing at least 14 days prior to event/program/activity/publication.

10. Indemnification: The Company shall indemnify and hold CF harmless from and against

any and all loss, expense, or damage to WPD and RC arising out of the negligence, willful

misconduct, or breach of this Agreement by the Company, its agents, or employees.

11. Certificate of Insurance: At times, the CF may require a Certificate of Insurance from the

Company in accordance to the activities the Company may be participating in during an

event/program/activity. Further information regarding a requirement for Certificate of

Insurance will be included in the Commitment Form.

12. Partnership/Sponsorship Payment: All Partnership/Sponsorship payments must be

received at least 30 business days in advance of event/program/activity/publication, unless

otherwise agreed to in writing by CF and the Company.

13. Exclusivity: When applicable – Sponsor would have category exclusivity based on their

type or level of partnership.
