A natural investment

The history of the connections of the Amorim family to the Nature sector is internationally recognised. As a result, the Américo Amorim Group has not only strengthened but expanded its investments in this area. In Portugal, the Douro and Alentejo are the preferred regions and are very special to the group, which undertakes winemaking and wine tourism activities in Douro, and forest production, non-irrigated agriculture and livestock activities in Alentejo.More recently, the investments have extended to the Zambezia region of Mozambique, with the acquisition of 17,000 acres of soy, rice and bean crops. In Brazil, in the Bahia region, the Américo Amorim Group also acquired a coconut plantation covering around 700 hectares and 120,000 coconut palms.
