Ford Indonesia Renovates School in Depok

The Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is included in the campaign "Ford Global Week of Caring" held around the world annually. FMI Managing Director Bagus Susanto said this year's Global Week of Caring presents the best team and characteristic of Ford, adding that it is incredible to reach and support the society by sharing things together. In Vietnam, the program has attracted more than 500 volunteers. The team has raised a charitable fund worth VND54 million in its factory in Hai Phong through selling activities of clothes, kid toys, books and newspapers and granted computers, helmets and scholarships to poor pupils at Tu Minh Primary School and blind pupils in Hai Duong province. Ford Fund also sponsored for Humanitarian Services for Children of Vietnam to grant scholarships to the poor in Hanoi. The volunteer team also visited and offered gifts to children in Hoa Hong Compassion House in Cu Chi District, HCMC.

RI Ford Volunteers Renovate Local School for Underprivileged Children

The Jakarta Post | Sep-27-2013The Indonesian branch of Ford's international group of volunteer corps recently worked on a project to renovate a high school for underprivileged children in Sawangan, Depok, as part of Ford's eight annual Global Week of Caring. The effort involved approximately 70 Ford employees and business partners, all of whom accumulated a total of more than 800 volunteer hours. The school repaired, named SMAN 5 High School, was restored in cooperation with Ford's Global Week of Caring partner, Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT). Work done at the time included setting up a library, lavatory, a sewage system, as well as cementing and tiling. These 70 Indonesia-based volunteers are a small part of Ford's worldwide efforts in support of community projects. A total of more than 10,000 employees, retirees and dealerships in more than two dozen countries participated in this global and annual endeavor.
