Downtown Revitalization Plan

Devon Town Council has approved the Downtown Revitalization Plan that will define the community and set the stage for growth and development in Devon.

This plan showcases the development of a strong character main street, compact and walkable downtown core, central multi-use community and recreation area, LED street lighting, river escapment and recreation corridor along the North Saskatchewan River, strong visual impact with commercial businesses along Highway 60 and many more development ideas.

There is also a $3M, 3km section of paved walking and biking paths through Voyageur Park along the North Saskatchewan River under development which the Alberta Government has invested $11M for the local Devon wastewater treatment facility upgrades. Highway 19 is also receiving an $80M twinning upgrade which is to be completed in 2018-2019.

The Town of Devon is located approx 27 km south west of downtown Edmonton and is situated along a scenic portion of the North Saskatchewan River.
