FOCUS IS ON TECHNOLOGYJatenergy has positioned itself as a marketing company for technology in the energy sector. Inparticular we are aligned with energy material extraction and coal conversion technologies. We are seeking a larger portfolio of related but non-competitive beneficiation technologies.

Historically

The company started out in the Biofuel sector and quickly moved to coal as the demand forconventional energy was strong and complimentary as it is energy we are targeting.

We now have included the marketing of beneficiation related technology that can give asignificant advantage to customers wanting to maximise their available resource. Theadvantaged is generally utilising a resource that is considered non viable or unprofitable tocurrent owners. With the addition of technology the resource takes on an alternative valueproposition.

Currently

At the moment, with the current downturn in the coal and energy sector, there is opportunity toidentify cheaper resources for technologies such as TTG’s energy material recovery and CoalPlus.

JATENERGY TECHNOLOGY MARKETINGJatenergy has the experience and background to market its portfolio on beneficiationtechnology to the wider market and community. To bring a technology to a country/customerrequires:

• Having a technology that is commercial and relevant to that market.• Initiating marketing of the technology using a variety of communication channels.• Having established relationships in government and related business within the country to

readily speed up the process of familiarisation.• Ability to present information on the technology and converse on the ability of the system,

its produce and requirements.• Identifying resources in the area that are suitable for the technology at a price that

increases the profitability of the combined technology/resource.• Obtaining backing of both government and owners of the identified resource to get the

project through its initial approvals.

It is well known that customers are seeking “disruptive” technology, it is a matter of finding theright approach to gain their attention and continued commitment till final approval.

SUMMARY CURRENT TECHNOLOGY MARKETING PROJECTSTTG Mineral Processing• Existing exclusive marketing license agreement with TTG for Indonesia for Cu/Li/Mn/Mg/Ni extended recently

for Mn recovery in China.• Signed with Jiaren Investment to expand Mn recovery in China. Jiaren has extensive Chinese business

network and access to Fe-Mn waste stream projects. China Identified as the best market for Mn recovery asChina is the major producer of Ferromanganese

• Jatenergy Identified Indonesia as an opportunity for this technology as the Indonesian Government hasintroduced a processing requirement for the majority of minerals in Indonesia (known as Export ban onunprocessed minerals)

Coal Plus• Technology for the upgrading of Brown Lignite Coal into semi coking coal. Already has established plants in

China operating and generating product and profit.• By products include:

– Upgraded coal with high calorific value and very low inherent moisture.– Coal tar can be sold to China for conversion into chemicals and .– Gas generated from project area can be used for domestic electricity production.

Beijing Coal Research Institute• Jatenergy has recently negotiated with Beijing Coal Research Institute to market its activities to our current

customer data base.• Already provided a number of customers that have had their coal tested for Coal Plus application.

MINERAL PROCESSING & WASTE RECYCLING LAB AT CNUThe laboratory has developed several commercial/patented processes using rawmaterials from primary and secondary (wastes) sources:

• Remediation of Mo fumes from molybdenite roasters (SeAH- Kwangyang FerroAlloy Co, POSCO).

• Processing of salar brine from Bolivia to produce high purity Mg and Li products(collaborated with Korea Resources Corp).

• Remediation of Fe-Mn fumes to produce non-leachable materials (final stage ofconsideration for commercialisation by Dong Bu Metals).

MANGANESE RECOVERY FROM Fe-Mn FUMES• Technology developed will process Fe-Mn fumes into high purity (>99.5% purity)

Manganese Sulphate Monohydrate (MSM) used for the expanding Li-ion batterymarket.

• Process conditions confirmed at demonstration scale (60 kg/day) by CNU andDong Bu Metals.

• Remediation project instigated in 2013 by Dong Bu Metals, aiming forcommercialisation of 20,000 tpa plant (yearly discharge Fe-Mn smelters).

• SIMPAC (Korea) is now testing their materials for remediation

• TTG-CNU completed evaluation of 300,000t fumes from a plant in Australia.

• TTG is sourcing another 300,000 tonnes of this waste for full commercialisation.
