FONDMETAL compie nel 2012 il quarantesimo anno dalla sua fondazione e celebra questo evento con un progetto dall’elevatocontenuto tecnologico denominato 9RR. La ruota 9RR racchiude in sé l’essenza dell’esperienza pluriennale del GruppoFondmetal sui campi di gara del Motorsport Fondmetal sui campi di gara del Motorsport mondiale ai più alti livelli. Le sinergie tra le diverse entità del gruppo hanno permesso di ottenere con la 9RR un prodotto dall’alto contenuto tecnologico, una ruota leggera, resistente e dalla forteconnotazione sportiva.connotazione sportiva.Il design a 7 razze sdoppiate è il risultato di un lungo periodo di studio che ha impegnato i nostri ingegneri in numerose sessioni di calcolo e simulazioni virtuali al fine di ricercare ilmigliore rapporto tra il peso, la resistenza e lo stile, che sono alla base della ruota 9RR.  IlIl design è stato realizzato ed ottimizzato con sofisticati programmi CAD (Computer Aided Design) e di simulazione computerizzata a fatica FEM (Finite Element Method) dove sono stati calcolati ed ottimizzati i punti di massimo stress, dove è stata ottenuta la migliore rigidità strutturale e dove sono state evidenziate ed eliminateeliminate le frequenze negative di risonanza. In 2012 Fondmetal celebrates its first 40 years and, on the occasion of this importantanniversary, it has decided to launch a hi-tech project named 9RR. The 9RR wheel encompasses the essence of the Fondmetal Group's multi-annualexperienceexperience on the top-level motorsport racing fields worldwide. The synergy between the Group's severalentities has given life to a product, the 9RR, of extremely high technological content: alightweight,lightweight, strong wheel with a distinguished sporty style.The 7-split-spokes design is the result of a long

study period, during which our engineers made numerous calculations and virtualsimulation sessions with the aim of finding an optimum ratio between strength, weight and style, which are the essence of the 9RRproject. TheThe design has been optimised throughstate-of-the-art CAD (Computer Aided Design) as well as fatigue simulationprogrammes FEM (Finite Element Method), which calculated, analysed and optimised the areas of maximum stress, to achievethethe best structural rigidity and to highlight and eliminate all the negative resonancefrequencies. Moreover, the rim has beendesigned with dedicated geometry andcircumferences that, while conformingto the ETRTO standards, have

allowed a considerable weight reduction without penalising the wheel strength. The wheel is a one-piece structuremanufactumanufactured through low pressure casting with primary aluminium AlSi7Mg-Sr, which is then T6 heat treated so as to achieve strength and resistance without compromises.The 9RR can therefore be defined as thesynthesis of performance, lightweight and Fondmetal style.
