When you see a smiling gentlemen at church who is always willing to chat and meet someone new, that is Victor Dominato. He and his wife Janis have been coming to Paulin for several months now, with their son Adam and sometimes granddaughter Mary (3 yrs). Victor grew up in the Windsor area and they have 3 sons. Victor is Operations Manager and also Chief Pilot for Centaero Aviation stationed at the Windsor Airport. I have always been interested in airplanes my- self, so when I met Victor and found out what his career was, nothing could hold me back to get out to the airport with the camera in hand and see what was so amazing about this aircraft, and also find out how Victor became involved with flying. The first thing, naturally, is the interest you must have so he joined the 364 Air Cadet Squadron of Windsor in 1972 and attained his Private Pilots License in 1974 while in high school. He went on through the Air Cadet Glider program and attained his Gliders License. Victor was involved with the Thunder Bay 66 Air Cadet Squadron as a 2nd Lieutenant from 1977 - 1979. He was their Instructor and Training Pilot for Power and Glider Flying Scholarship Program. He completed the Confederation College Flight Man- agement program in 1979 to qualify as Bush pilot. The next step was to be a Flight instructor and charter pilot flying air ambulance, cargo and passenger flights throughout Ontario and United States. Victor formed Centaero Aviation in 1990 in Windsor as a charter company operating Turbo Prop and Jet Aircraft. He presently has over 10,000 flying hours and is flying a Cessna Citation 750 X Corporate Jet. Dan Watson is a Sr. Captain with Centaero with 5 yrs. Experience & Ken Vegh is the Director of Maintenance. He is also a First Officer with them. As Victor says, Ken “Mothers our Bird.” The largest and fastest of the Cessna business jet fleet, the Citation X was first delivered in July of 1996. The aircraft features a low/swept wing with twin Rolls Royce turbofan engines mounted high on the rear fuselage. The Citation X has a highly swept T-tail. Each side of the fuselage has 7 cabin windows, while the cabin itself holds up to 8 passengers and a flight crew of two. It has a cruise speed of over 500 knots (and capable of 610 knots) and a range of 3,050 nautical miles. For all the golfing fans, Arnold Palmer was the first person to purchase this aircraft, in 1996 and continues to fly it himself. He has over 16,000 hours flying. Victor is Operations Manager and also Chief Pilot for Centaero Aviation stationed at the Windsor Airport. I have always been interested in airplanes my-self, so when I met Victor and found out what his career was, nothing could hold me back to get out to the airport with the camera in hand and see what
