When you notify us of the claim you will need to report the time your property was flooded, how long the water was in your home and the depth it was flooded to. If you require alternative accommodation please discuss this with your claims adviser who will be able to help

• Once you have reported the flood, we will arrange for a loss adjuster to visit your property to assess the damage. Please ensure that anything you wish to claim for doesn’t get thrown away. However, if contents are removed prior to our visit please take as many photos as possible and document each item

• We will then arrange for a specialist to visit and advise on drying and cleaning your home - this may involve striping out damaged items
