ENW 248 Introduction This week’s English News Weekly podcast reports on a worrying
report published this week on the number of slaves around the
world. The Global Slavery Index reports that around 45 million
people worldwide are held in slavery. This is an increase of 15
million people since 2012. The organisation behind the GSI has
asked richer countries to fight modern slavery more. Which
countries are the best and worst?
