CoLumbARIumFirst Church is blessed to have a Columbarium, an area reserved for the inurnment of a deceased’s cremated remains. Set in the dignified and beautiful surroundings of a garden near the Historical Room, the columbarium is also a place for quiet meditation and prayer. Adjacent to the Columbarium is the church’s “Memorial Wall.” For information about purchasing a niche in the Columbarium or about the “Memorial Wall,” contact the Operations Director (483-0121 or [email protected]).

RosEbuDThe Rosebud on the Communion Table on Sunday, July 23, 2017, was placed in honor of Cameron Joseph Tillman, who was born on Monday, July 3, 2017, the son of Scott and Lauren Tillman of Lititz, Pennsylvania, and the grandson of Warren and Linda Tillman.

CHILdREN’S CHuRCH is for kinder-garten and first graders during the 10:55 a.m. service. The teacher will stand in front of the Sanctuary to escort the chil-dren to Room 116 at the start of the sec-ond hymn.

TRaINING FOR TEaCHERS aNd VOLuNTEERS in the Children’s Minis-try is Wednesday, August 23, at 5:30 p.m. in the Activity Room. A light dinner will be served.

POOL PARTY for the church youth and their families at the Garrett’s home on Sunday, July 30, after services. Hot dogs and hamburgers will be served. PRESBYTERIAN YOUTH COUNCIL appli-cations for 2017-2018 are available on the presbytery’s web site. Applications will not be accepted later than August 1. YOUTH EVENTS – A presbytery-wide, “All Girl” Slumber Party is planned in conjunction with the PW Fall Gathering on Aug. 18-19 at MacPherson Presbyteri-an Church, Fayetteville.
