In the event of fire Get Out, Call the Fire Brigade Out, Stay Out. • An adult may be able to put out a small fire in the home with an extinguisher. Always remember to raise the alarm first. • The emergency number to call is 999. • Prepare and practise a home escape plan. • Planning two possible exit routes. • Replace the batteries twice a year in your smoke alarms and check they are working on a regular basis.
