Thomas Lacey séance collection. - 1958-1966. - 154 audio reels. - 55 cassette tapes.Thomas Lacey, a voice and trance medium, was born in Glossop, Derbyshire, England

and immigrated to Canada. Lacey began conducting séances in Hamilton and the Kitchener-Waterloo region in 1931 and continued until the 1960's. He rose to prominence in 1932 when he was noticed as a medium at Lily Dale in New York. A trumpet medium, Lacey would use the spirit of his brother Walter, who died at a young age, as a spirit guide and those at his séances experienced materializations and automatic writing.

Contents: collection consists of audio reel recordings of séances held under the supervision of medium Thomas Lacey between 1958 and 1966. The séances were held primarily in Kitchener-Waterloo although some were held in other areas of Ontario and the United States.

Also included in the collection are 55 cassette tapes of séances that have been transferred to this medium, as well as an index to spirits reached through the séances.
